me

me
Hahahaha. Look at my eye peeking out!

UPDATE November 9th, 2008: If you've read Grant's book (and if you haven't, WHY HAVEN'T YOU?), this was the night that Grant was planning on finally getting in on with Louise but he ended up drinking so much that he was worried that he wouldn't be able to get a hard-on and took an entire 100mg pill of Viagra!
me
Au revoir pour toujours, ma petite tomate!
me
Grant capturing a pensive me between a stack of burger boxes. (Actually, what he captured is me staring in disbelief at some insanely gorgeous supermodel-type girl who walked in, marched up to the counter and proceeded to order a fucking sack of burgers. Who would've thunk?)
the august roundup
August, 2003
me
So after my lack-luster performance of "Cum on Feel Tha Noize," Colin and I headed over to Nolita Tavern where we ran into Candy and her leather hat.
me
Later that night - Tara and I went to see the Fatal Flying Guillotines (friends of hers from Texas) play at Lit. Afterwards, we went over to SinSin and kicked it. (L to R: Vin, Tara, me, Jaime, and one of Jaime's friends).
me
Ross, me and Kate.
me
Me and Darren (aka D-run), Tavis' best friend.
me
Me and the Smidge.
me
After a few rounds of drinks, Stephanie and Gabe (Tavis and Laura's nextdoor neighbors) came over to join the festivities.
me
Sha-sha-shitfaced in the afternoon!
me
After showers and naps for everyone, we met up again later that night for...
me
True to form, Louis and I hopped on our plane to LA with no hotel booked. The lovely Kate Hill was kind enought to suggest that we stay at the Downtown Standard. Shortly after checking in, she took a cab to the hotel and we hit the town.
me
A few weeks prior, I had tried to nuzzle Sarah's boobies while we were cutting rug at P.Diddy's party and she ran away. But this time, sweet, sweet success. Hahahaha.
me
Ok, this photo's a bit redundant, but I only included it because check out Fatty surreptitiously making faces at his date. Hahahaha.
me
My "Karate Kid Crane Kick" impression was quickly put to shame when...
me
This picture's called "Why You Shouldn't Fall Asleep When Grant Has Your Camera."
me
Jess and me! (Check us out way back in '97). Hahah.
me
So we walk all the way down to Chinatown only to find that the party's long since over and all the cute girls (if they even existed in the first place) are nowhere to be seen (fucking Vin, sheesh).. But on the upside, on the walk back up towards the East Village, we found this picture of Jesus that someone had put out for the trash and we decided to save him (God knows how many people he's saved so, you know, it was the least we could do).
me
And I licked her face.
me
Even though it's more expensive than it used to be back in the day, you really can't beat The Cherry Tavern "Special." A can of Tecate and a shot of tequilla for $4? Wha?
me
After a few minutes of me sitting next to Vin, Marco notices that we're both wearing the same shirt (albeit, in different colors) and starts totally giving us shit. (Keep this in mind for later...)
me
After a some serious badminton (just for the record, Frank and I won the tournament...undefeated, baby!)...
me
And then while I was taking a nap his shadow molested me.
me
Here's me with Sheff and Seth (who had just arrived in town on Sheff's brand, new boat. Which being 40' is prolly more appropriately called a yacht. Jesus.)
me
"Must like sushi, long walks on the beach...oh, and one mo' thing: shouldn't steal my stuff." New York City, I love you so much.
me
Copious ammounts of boardwalk junk food lead to one thing...
me
U-S-A! U-S-A!
me
...FOOD BABY!
me
Beatrice and me with shots (courtesy of Ed).
me
Goodbye lovelies! See you in September!
me
On the way out, a friend of mine who reads this site recognized the fashion-mullet man from back in April. I'm happy to report, he's since cut it off.
me
And here's a pic of us just before getting on the Tilt-a-Whirl-on-Crank ride in the background.
me
Me and Sarah (aka - Ultragrrrl) cut rug until we were sweaty messes in the back room. Damn, babygirl can dance! (Wearing the shirt that would later cause the Village Voice to give a shout out to her "bodacious ta-tas").
me
When even the sight of me striking rollerdisco poses failed to elicit a smile, I knew our little buddy was really down in the dumps.
me
No, no, no...you're the man now, dog.
me
Saturday night Grant made reservations for the Über-fancy restaurant, Suba. The food was so pretty, that our entries all merritted us all posing with them.
me
Here's Chris (doing his impression of Robin Williams) and me giving mad props to our deep-friend cinamonny-doughnut thingy that was filled with chocolate and so kicked all the other desserts' palsy asses.
me
Me with my grilled skirt steak (served with cumin-spiced fries, string beans, piquillo peppers and tomato chimichurri).
me
Do tha hustle!
me
Sunburnt Face, meet my friend Patchy Sunburnt Neck.
me
Look! It's the ARMY OF DUDES. Can seven guys get into a nightclub on Friday night with only one female?
me
After a shower and a nap, we headed out later on in the evening to meet up with Chris Apostalou for dinner at Lovely Day...
me
Here's us teasing Colin about his nicknamed being changed from "Big Daddy" to "P.Dinky." (The entire story will be explained in a diary entry that probably won't be allowed to be realeased until the year 2030 *sigh*).
me
Subway ride home...
me
...and me with my beach hair.
me
Yay, beach friends!
me
Hey, look! They named a grocery store after us! (*wink, wink*)
me
Here's a pic of me trying to put my face in between Sarah's bizzoobies and nuzzle them in time to the music. Needless to say, she resisted. Shortly after this pic, we wrapped up the dance party and headed back downtown to the Hole to try to catch last call (at this point it was 8:30am for Charlene, who was still on London time, so she and Grant headed home).
me
Hey buddy, what is that? A roll of dimes in your pocket or....awwww, man! Gross.
me
Me with two Sarahs.
me
Upstairs was waaaay too crowded so we headed downstairs where there was room to represent on the dancefloor.
me
Dancing with multiple cameras. Sarah, me and Grant.
me
My buddy Morgan is a fancy club promoter and he invited us to the private opening of some fancy new club called Manna Hatta (I think) on the corner of Bowery and 3rd St (the place that has the bright, blue neon "Restaurant" sign). Here's me and Charlene.
me
If any of you fellas out there are scratching your heads about us always going to The Hole (which is primarily a gay bar); here's your answer: the drinks are cheaper than the women! Here's me with karaoke superstar, Natalka.
me
Charlene, Emma, Grant, Tara and me.
me
On Saturday afternoon, our dad woke us up and informed us that our street was having a block party. Check me hitting up the root beer keg. Aw, yeah.
me
Saturday evening we went to the Stafford Diner for some authentic Jersey Diner grub. Bonus points to me for having a shirt with an NJ logo on it.
me
Sunday morning we got up early and set out on our mission: move the goddamned shed. Mom was complaining that the placement of the new shed was blocking her view of the water from the porch and wanted it moved to that it was parallel to the house (instead of perpendicular). Here's me manning the jack.
me
Here's me preparing to make the winning catch.
me
...who shit the bed on the next toss by throwing short to my dad (the balloon exploded on his foot). Check me out laughing at him while he gives my brother the ol' stink eye.
me
Me and dad prepping for the big 'tater race. (The object is to cross the finish line first. If your pototo falls off your spoon, you're immediately disqualified.)
me
The face of a treat-addict.
me
Snickers Ice Cream bar National Lampoon's European Vacation style.
me
Vegas sucks. Everything there is designed to disorient you so that you get stuck in places and spend more money. Seriously, our plan to "pop in and check out" the Caesar's mall complex-thingy turned into a 3 1/2 hour "quest for the exit." At least I got to be Lego-Tutankhamen, that sorta made up for it.
me
After our delicious, Rain-Foresty dinner digested a bit (which took longer than usual in the 110°F heat) we went over to New York, NY (it's a hotel)...
me
Right after Louis and I posed with this gondolier in the background, Louis took me on a gondola ride. He sang me a song and then after we got back on land took me up to his room and made sweet, sweet love to me while...oh, wait! What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! Shhhhh!
me
Can I tell you that "Dumb and Dumberer" is the worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life. THE WORST. We left the theater after just 30 minutes...it was utterly unwatchable. Blech
me
and rode the roller coaster! (The sign said no cameras, but my camera's really small so I thought I'd be able to sneak it on. The coaster started off and figuring I was safe, I snapped this pic - but one of the guys that worked there was on to me and was running along side the coaster, and totally snagged me and nabbed my camera).
me
I spent most of Monday in meetings for work. Tara spend most of Monday getting incredibly sunburnt at the hotel pool. Ouchie. After meeting up, we set out on the strip to explore some more.
me
Here's me with Michael Jordan! He was just standing around fully-dressed in his uniform! Can you believe that?
me
Here's Tara and me at the Taqueria. Why bother with Italy when you can kill two birds with one stone and eat "athentic" Mexican food right next to the canals of Venice? Vegas, baby. Vegas. They've got it all figured out.
me
Early Sunday morning Tara and I caught our Vegas-bound flight outta JFK.
me
Amy and I made an immediate beeline for the backseat...because, you know, that's where are the cool kids sit.
me
Amy and I met up in Manhattan and took the NR out to Park Slope. Turns out that Southpaw, the venue PJ's gig was at, was right around the corner from the apartment Amy and I were roomies at when I first moved to NYC in January of 2000. Here's us posing with the freaky Zulu Lady statue right outside of our former subway sto
me
After catching up inside for a bit, we headed out to see Peter's band's tour bus...
me
Brett was the big winner. Me and my dad both caught NOTHING! NADA! ZIP! ZILCH! (Actually, my dad at least caught two fucked-up fish that just didn't count in the contest so he threw them back. I was the only one that didn't catch a god-damned thing. Bah.) Arrrrgh, matey! Better luck next time!
me
Tireder.
me
Me, Kristie and Candy.
me
I met up with Colin and his friend Jen at Pianos. And then we went to Nolita Tavern for some karaoke action. I love how both Colin and Fatty are always making faces behind their date's backs. Hahaha).
me
Out of the blue on Monday I got an email that my cousin Kristie was going to be in town on business (she works at an ad agency in Arizona(?). So we headed over to Fez to some, uh, what else? Karaoke! Here's me and Kristi
me
Christ, was there anybody there that doesn't have a webpage? Hi, we're huge losers. From L to R: Jonathan "Little Brother of Dennis" Crowley (orangeride.com), Dens back there in the green (another gratuitous teendrama.com plug) and Randy (hifiny.com). I'm not sure who that guy is back there in the upper left, but I'll betcha dollars to doughnuts he's at least got a text-blog.
me
Me and Mike Tully (aka - "The Squizzler").
me
Tara, a girl that had a crush on Tara and more of my armpit hair.
me
We stayed at The Hole and had a few beers in Rachal's honor. (Check out my gratuitous armpit hair shot. Ew.)
me
Walking home from an uneventful Monday night out, I stopped by Bowery Ballroom (2 blocks from my house) to check out the roster list of upcoming shows. When I got there I realized that Ted Leo and the Pharmacists were playing that night! Not only were there tix available, Ted was going on in 15 minutes. I walked in, caught a rad show, and ran into Ric Ocasek on the way out! Holy shit, Just what I needed! (ba-dum-dum-CHA! Thank you. I'll be here all week! Try the meatloaf. And remember, please tip your waitress.)
me
Me and Jamye Waxman (who testified on behalf of my American citizenship, thank you very much).
me
....could make a stupider face with it on.
me
Hey lover of "Pietro,"
me
I put the hat on, the shades on and then I did the robot. Top that! Top that! Top that-th-th-that, th-that, that!
me
Yay, Roxbury High School! Wooooo! After this pic was snapped, the three of us headed down to Iggy's Keltic Lounge (where Grant and I guest bartended) in the LES and met up with Bev's boyfriend Matt (for some reason I didn't take any pics of the four of us. Me not taking pictures? Unheard of!)
me
Ummm....yeah.
me
Right when we walked into Jimi, I heard someone yell my name. I was like, I'm in fucking Asbury Park, NJ...who the fuck knows my name? I turn around to see Max, Chris Silk and Christina Alessi, three people I went to high school with. Apparently, Ween was playing a show at the Stone Pony the next night and they were staying at a hotel around the corner with a bunch of people. Randomness.
me
Watch those lil' fingers, Sweetpea!
me
My mom with my Uncle Walt.
me
Me with my cousins Chris and Steve Battjer.
me
Saturday morning, we woke up early, hopped the Amtrak train and headed out into dirty Jerz.
me
Our instructor, Danny.
me
Me and the other guy scheduled to take the test that day.

He was digging my green sparkly helmet

C'mon in a get yer noodie pic taken! Don't worry, it's art!
