me
Me and Lorelei (I love this photo).
me
Matty, Emma, Brian Chambers, Mark Bibbins (aka - The Notorious B.I.B.), Nina and me.
me
Brian C. (former resident of 105 Bowery) and Vic and me (current residents of 105 Bowery).
me
Emma feigning sobriety while I give my best Jodeci face (which usually means that I'm drunk).
me
Josh, Grant and myself with Jess and her "two friends." (Dennis Crowley said it best in a recent email: "this may be one of the best photos ever snapped with a digicam.")
me
GUN SHOW! After this pic of Nina and I was taken, Josh looked at it and said to Grant, "Whoa, gross. I can't belive you used to hump Brian's sister."
me
Lo, Grant, Emma (pulling her patented "I'm pretty drunk" face) and me.
me
When was the last time you saw four natural blonds together? Me and Nina with Sarah & Jack D.

So, with the party jumping, Andrew Einhorn, Spencer Tunick and I were ready to put our scheming minds into action. Spencer is an artist famous for getting thousands of people to get naked and lie down in public spaces. (Homeboy even had a fancy documentary called Naked States made about him. Ta-dow!)

At some point earlier in the night I asked Spencer (thinking I'd all shock him and shit), "If I can get a bunch of people to get naked, will you do one of your installations in my room?" Without missing a beat, Spence pulled a stack of postcards with his work on them and said "Hand these out and tell everyone that participates that they'll get a print of the shot. We'll shoot at midnight."
me
Me with Xio, Mari and Pris (note the stack of "Sign up to pose" cards in my hand). Tee-hee-hee.
me
Andrew hands me back my cam. (If you look left of me you'll see I left in one nipple for all you pervs. Sweet!)
me
"Hey Slim! What did you do with our friend?"
me
Just in case you're wondering why Vin's making that face it's because Grant kept holding his arm up next to Vin's and being like "Look, I'm darker than you! I'm supposed to be white and you're supposed to be the brown one, but I'm browner! Me!"
me
Grrrrrr-reat foookin' Scott! It's Jack foookin' Wrrrrr-right, innit?
me
Me, Grant and my roommie, Victoria.
me
Sarah knows how to pinch a titty - that's fer sure.
me
Bwa-haha.
me
Complete with mad Twister scramble during the instrumental break...
me
Me, Grant and Herman.
me
And for the big finale of the night, Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody!"
me
What, you don't believe me? See those two smoking hot, blonde hula girls? Yeah, that's right! They got so hot and bothered by my karaoke jam that right after i was done singing they took me in the bathroom and I totally got down with both of them! So who's gay now, huh? Huh?
me
Wait, what's that I gotta have again?
me
Yo, you can diss and say that karaoke's gay and all. But you clearly have no idea what you're talking about because karaoke makes chicks totally hot and then they want to do you.
me
..."Baby's Got Back!"
me
She's got eyes of the bluest skies...
me
You know what baby's got...
me
Duet with a stranger.
me
Usually as the night gets going, impromptu dance parties break out...
me
Me popping a bottle of bubbly while gazing lovingly Rob Kemp, Rob Kemp, the bassist from Arlene's Heavy Metal Karaoke band!)
me
Nothing sets the stage for a lil' ear nuzzling like a few bottle of free champagne. Hoo-ah!
me
I met up with Sarah at Spin's fancy offices.
me
...doing my impression of a mime "taking on a huge dick." (See how I'm using my left hand to play with the giant plums? All you ladies out there take note!)
me
All three of us (that's Bret over there on the right) in bartending action! Yahtzee!
me
Special Guest Commentary from Grant Stoddard via IM: "As we learned early on, the main perk of bartending is having total control of the juke box *and* full license to play air guitar along to the metal anthems you select."

(Major bonus points taken away from whoever took this pic and managed to almost crop me completely out while I'm making what looks like it could've been the best "metal face" I've ever pulled. Curse you!)
me
Neither Grant nor I had ever tended bar before in our lives. We arrived a little before 8pm for some "basic training" from Bret.
me
Apparently, I was spending too much time fraternizing with the guests, so I got demoted to bar-back. Here's me cleaning glasses. Oh, the humiliation.
me
As we gave out more and more drinks, we tried to start an "everybody show your tits" wave across the bar. I guess we were the only ones drunk enough to fall for it.
me
Amanda and me.
me
Good thing we both wore bras that night, otherwise all of tips Jen Crowe kept stuffing down our shirts would of just fallen on the floor.
me
Haha. This is me and Grant with the staff at the Homestyle Cafe Diner. He and I have eaten lunch there a couple days a week for years and we've all become friends over the years.
me
Brett with the fam.
me
After a quick change, we headed over to the Opera House for a ceremony celebrating Brett's major.
me
Painting makes you thirsty - so I went into Grant's fridge to look for something to drink to discover that the only thing he had was this box of "Boing!" (Boing! is a fake mango drink that makes you want to say its name as you jump around with the box).
me
Vin and Allison slept over in my guest bedroom - and someone, Vin I think managed to snap this late night picture of me being a dork and working on this very site. That's right ladies and gents, that desk is where it all goes down.
me
Anybody who knows me knows that for a long time I've been totally fascinated by "Pomodoro Guy." (He the guy that stands on the east side of the Broadway/Spring intersection, right outside of our offices, holding a giant sign advertising the nearby Pomodoro Pizzeria). Anyway, after months of seeing him everyday and saying hi, things eventually progressed to the causal "about the weather" conversation - but one day a few months back I ran into him on my block (and found out he's my neighbor) and ever since then we've sorta become buds. Hence I will now refer to "Pomodoro Guy" as Jack - his God-given name.
me
What's better than this picture? Seriously.
me
Oh, wait. This picture, that's what.
me
Grant with a beer big enough to put his light-weight ass in the hospital.
me
Don't even get me started on the whole fucking mesh, trucker-hat phenomenon again. Suffice it to say that for a short while it was so out of hand that I actually resorted to having this shirt made up.
me
With no sign of spring in sight, Grant and I headed over to Ace Bar for a little Big Buck Huntin' action.
me
And here's my mounting my way towards...
me
...a Two-Poled Grip Swingset.
me
The jacket may have quickly been retired, but the "ElectroGrantClash-2k3" theme song it spawned lives on. (Make sure you ask me to sing it next time you see me).
me
Everyone there knows me (and my stupid jacket).
me
You get a kiss...
me
And here's Marisol. I met these two hizzoes on the internerd and then finally met up with them in real life randomly one night at Filter 14.
me
When I was playing with the settings on my new cam I must've accidentally switched it into the "ugly-ass faces" mode.
me
You know, I always imagined I'd look like a badass on a motorcycle...but that's because when I'd imagined it I wasn't wearing a lime green, sparkly helmet. Look out ladies!
me
Erica, Grant and me.
me
At this point we gave up on trying to find fun stuff to do in Philly and just sat in the garden outside of the museum. Ten minutes later we got kicked out of the garden because they were closing that too.
me
We ended up eating across that street at some god-awful, faux, Tex-Mex place where the bill was like $65 for the three of us to eat lunch. Lunch! Sixty-five bones! Bah!
me
Let's hear it for my home state, the Garden State!
me
Making new friends through the universal language of music.
me
Me singing George Michael's "Faith."
me
Me with our new friend (who was gracious enough not to get all "kung fu" on Grant for pretending to sing in Chinese).
me
Michael, relatively new to our "scene," clearly missed his cue to troe down a gangsign for the cam.
me
Lo and I warmed things up with a not-so-great rendition of the '91 Spin Doctor's jam "Two Princes." (Yo, you might think this song is easy - but don't forget, there's like 2 minutes of hippyesque scatting at the end. Ugh).
me
Winnie's didn't have paper tablecloths so Grant was forced to draw his nightly picture of me on a karaoke request slip and hold it up for the cam.
me
EmEm, me and Grant.
me
Tara and I making fun of the pic that was taken of us the night we met at Pianos back in January.
me
Me and Tara.
me
Me and Sarah.
me
Look, see how my hair's wet? The real buck hunting action gets so intense I actually broke a sweat.
me
On Monday night I headed to the "all lit up" Indian restaurant near the corner of 1st Ave and 6th Street for Vin's birthday! Vin's birthday this year was much more low-key than last year's sordid affair. Here's me and the birthday boy.
me
The party at Manray started winding down at around 2am. Everyone else crapped out and went home but Lo and I headed over to...
me
Brian Battjer and Betsy Brown at Bowery Bar.
me
This is Stephanie - I met her online and we've been IMing for a long time and I finally randomly ran into her when I when to meet up with Caitlin and Betsy.
me
And here's me and the birthday girl! Right after I took this picture - the batteries in my new camera crapped out (don't worry, I've since bought the longer lasting kind). I'm gonna be posting more pics here soon from other peoples' cams (but in the meantime you can just check out the pics from Karen's birthday last year.)
me
Emily, Tara, Tiff and me (look at Emily getting all frisky with my coco-jugs).
me
After AdultWorld we went over to Karen Marsala's birthday. Here's me and Karen Landes.
me
The old "slip the pineapple up your shirt" party trick. (Check out homeboy in the foreground, he totally knew what was up).
me
"Houston...we have mullet."
me
Grant also managed to get me back by conspiring with Eric to snap this pic of Eric planting one on me.
me
Cah-cah-creepy, right? Do you know what's creepier?
me
I escaped, unscathed. (...for now...)
me
Oh, and did i mention that I apparently have a gay, bizzaro twin? Check him out.
me
Remeber that smiley guy from the previous pic? Next thing I know, he's trying to shuck my face like a clam...
me
...and we finally managed to blend in at The Hole. "Haaaaaay!"
me
Look! It's Britney Spears!
me
The Hole: 10pm. (Me, Grant and Eric).
me
A night out with Grant just isn't complete these days until he's laid down his almost-perfected caricature of me.
me
The nicest thing about the evening was that my dad was there. (I love those earrings on him).
me
Look! Operation Iraqi Freedom chalks up another big victory by intercepting what was almost a French Kiss. You're next Saddam! *shakes fist*
me
Sarah Lewitinn (aka "ultragrrrl" from Spin magazine) and me later on in the evening at Lit. She's on the cusp of being famous enough to be included in the next section....
me
Jason Schwartzman. Those are gangsigns. O.R. they?
me
Mattymatt and I dusted off our Jodeci faces (circa 1995) and pimped them bigtime.
me
Mena Suvari. We talked about how there really is nothing more beautiful than a plastic bag getting blown around the city. You know?
me
Me with the infamous Em & Lo.
me
Hey, look! It's practically the same picture that kicks off any one of these stupid goddamned diary entries of mine! L to R: Alisa, me and Emma.
