me
And we took "I'm not going to see you for a long time" going away pics. Aw.
me
Later that night I went over to Ludlow St. and ran into Karen.
me
I tried to get Vin to wear it for a picture and he was like "No way, if anyone sees a picture of a brown guy in a bio-warfare mask, the terror alert status is going to increase. Fuck that." Hahahaha.
me
While packing my room up on Tuesday, I came across this crazy-ass Israeli bio-warfare mask I'd purchased from an army surplus store back in 2000 to use when had to sand the old paint off the walls of the loft we converted in Brooklyn.
me
Boobies!
me
Me hiding trying to hide the fact that "being backstage" at any show still makes me giddy like a schoolgirl.
me
Colin gets bonus points for managing to sneak in the internation sign-language sign for "pussy" behind me in my big "thumbs up" pic. Fucker.
me
Liz and squinty me. (It was so bright outside I could hardly open my eyes with out sneezing and tears pouring down my face).
me
Me and Sheal representing for Lodi, NJ.
me
Me and Amy admiring Ryan's moves.
me
Me with my photobloggin biddies.
me
Late night outside. Tinny getting sad because we realized with my impending move to San Francisco just ten days away, this was my 2nd to last Misshapes attendance (or so we thought at the time! Doh!). But that doesn't mean that she wasn't wishing me...
me
Ummm, thanks Meredith.
me
When Leigh and I met up with Meredith on the street, she was holding a shopping bag and laughing. Apparently, my birthday present that she'd told me was being "specially made" had finally arrvied and she informed me that she was going to "make me wear it out tonight." Well, Meredith's present turned out to be this uber-classy shirt that says "P is for Pussy" on the front (complete with a picture of the cookie monster doing the internation sign for pussy-eating)...
me
Licking the birthday candle never looked so wrong.
me
Here's me with the get a load of my mom photo.
me
When I was younger, I thought that by the time I reached 28 I'd be grown-up enough to not think that taking Tic-tacs and using them to pretend you have buck teeth is something that's still funny. Go figure.
me
Mint chocolate chip tofu ice cream with a candle. (Later on in the night, I went out to for a birthday dinner at a fancy steakhouse, but somehow I fucked up and lost those pictures. Argh!)
me
Later that afternoon the ladies took me to Red Bamboo for some vegetarian soul food. (Most likely, because unbeknownst to me, I was being taken to a steakhouse for my birthday dinner and this gave the two vegetarians a chance to fill up!).
me
Bwa-hahahahahaha. No caption could make this picture any better. Period.
me
Me, Amy and Grant (who's more tan than him?).
me
Moving to San Francisco in less than twenty days. (What the fuck was I thinking?)
me
Same picture, but this time someone managed to sneak in a crafty 'FUCK YOU, BIRTHDAY BOY" finger into the mix.' Hahaha.
me
Emily, Charlene and me.
me
Me and Geordon.
me
Here's our dancefloor reaction to James dropping Van Halen's Panama.
me
John Roche (who I went to Keystone Jr. College with back in '95!!!) even showed up with a friend. Although once we got a look at how crowded it was inside he was like "Uh, happy birthday dude. Maybe we can hang out some other time?"
me
Nighty night!
me
You can't tell from this picture, but once our duet got going...
me
Towards the end of the night, Amy got all hardcore and declared that she was going to finish the bottle of Stoli that was on the table. Hey look, you're almost at the, er, bottom.
me
I even got my photo (with Marissa!) on the flier for next week's party!
me
Meredith and Amy K. throwing down with the birthday boy.
me
Charlene showed up late night just in time for last call.
me
Me and Marissa, keeping the situation under control.
me
Be careful Tins, my helmet has "Lice."
me
I put on my riot gear, just in case a dude-fueled dance floor riot broke out.
me
Me and Sheal actin' tough.
me
Leigh and Greg.
me
...we were glowing the like the metal on the edge of a knife.
me
Gavin and I locked in a deadly karaoke battle.
me
At the opening party for some dive bar in the East Village. They didn't have their liquor license yet so get got free glasses of (ow-my-head) champagne.
me
We also ran into my gay twin, Jonas.
me
Later that night I finally met up in person with long time internet buddy (yep, we're dorks) and fellow photo-diarist, Amy K.
me
But she still got enough of a tan that she had to wear white make up on her face to work the next day so as not to blow her "I was sick in bed yesterday" cover story.
me
Me back at home post-shower doing my (sunburnt) impression of Clark Kent.
me
Hahaha.
me
Me, doggy-shaking my hair dry.
me
Jones Beach rules. And it's practically empty on weekdays.
me
C'mon over ladies.
me
A smooch for you.
me
On Wednesday night I met up with Leigh to listen to some friends play records at Iggy's. A smooch for me.
me
I found this pink, plastic mirror frame thrown out on the sidewalk and stopped for a quick "artsy" shot on the walk over to meet up with...
me
And then I gave her a creepy hug.
me
Out on the dancefloor, I ran into Genie Lee!
me
Then we decided it was time to play everyone's favorite game: DRUNK GUY JENGA! The rules are simple, each person takes a turn placing any object within reach on the passed out person. If you wake them up, you lose!
me
Me and some guy who wanted to show off his nipple.
me
Me demonstrating the proper "guy who wants to show his nipple" technique.
me
Mark, Susan and me.
me
"Don't run! It's filled with vodka!" Ooooooooooookay.
me
The very surprised birthday girl.
me
Bunny cat!
me
Meredith and I got a visit from my roommate's (stinky) cat, Herman. Check out Meredith's priceless "Ew, he fuggin stinks!" face.

Susan and me with SmellsGood Gina.

Grant repaying half of his nipple-licking karmic-debt.
me
Me, boobie peeking.
me
Greg K coming into the DJ booth to give me the shepard's crook and get me the fuck off the decks after my "Harry Belafonte Stunt."
me
While I was taking pics with Susan and Ellen, someone was lurking in the area. And that someone was the...
me
Me and Ellen (nibbling at her ginormous...well, you know).
me
Susan and me.
me
Me and Scott Merriam (both showing off our ginormous pupils...wtf?)
me
Sarah D, Grant, me and Tiff.
me
....awwww, sit. It's DJ HasNoTalent in tha house!
me
Say, wha? Hahah.
me
Oh yeah, and based on this picture I guess I also played "Hot For Teacher" by VH. (I only know that because it's the only song with a pick-slide hot enough to merit a physcial reenactment).
me
...and showed me how to be a DJ!
me
After I mastered being a DJ, I headed back over to my apartment to meet up with Grant. And do a little pre-party warm up drinking. Full Story: Remember how we went to Iceland? Well, we ended up buying a bunch of bottles of this stuff called Brennivan - which means "Black Death" in Icelandic. Anyway, only after we'd bought a bunch of bottles of it did we learn that it tastes like it's made out of Band-Aids and pine needles. Not wanting to throw it away, I decided that anytime someone's over my house and we're going on, everyone present has to do a jigger of Brennivan before leaving. So here's Grant and I about to take our obligatory medicine. *sputter*
me
Afterwards, I headed upstairs to the DJ booth. Me and Audrey (who was DJing before me).
me
Me and the Tins.
me
Leigh (trying to make her sexy face but starting to laugh), Greg K, and me being a jerk and yelling about something.
me
No nipples for you!
me
Schweaty!
me
I ran into Mandy.
me
Before I'd even gotten a chance to put my point on the dancefloor and prove it, Leigh hand-delivered a fistfulla scotch.
me
But before getting on that early morning D train, I met up with Grizza and headed deep into the heart of Chinatown for a daring dim sum breakfast. I mean, if you're going to be spending all day in the heat, you should make sure your first meal has plenty of vitamin C(at).
me
Grant might've gotten the ass-shot but he sure didn't get his nostril licked.
me
Sorry, Larson. Shortly after Larson's song, I was called up and handed my camera off to Grant so he could take some pics of me. Instead, Grant spent the entire time using my camera to...
me
Down in the basement we met up with Josh.
me
Around 11ish, we headed over to the Delancey to meet up with Meredith and check out her friend's band...
me
After the show, we decided to head over to Lit. On the walk over Grant was taking pics so when he wasn't looking I pulled by pants down to show some ass-crack and then hid it with my shirt. Then right when he was ready to take the next photo, I raised my arms so that my shirt would lift forcing Grant to accidentally take a picture of my ass. The joke was executed flawlessly save one small problem: I apparently don't have an ass.
me
Me doing my impression of one of the drunker party guests we watching on the dancefloor.
me
After the kickline we made some more stupid faces.
me
"Hi, we're the people here at the wedding that only know one person...and, uh, she's busy getting married. So, who are you?"
me
Kell and me (Woo, Supercamp!)
me
Ticket? What ticket?
me
Then kicked it into high gear and made some really stupid faces.
me
Then around 11:30, we bade farwell to Kelly...
me
...and drove to nearby New Milford, CT to pick up Vin at his parent's house and bring him back down to NYC (coincidentally, Vin and The Fatty both grew up in New Milford).
me
The gang getting ready to chow down. (PS - Already at this early point in the night, Chef, who you can barely see peeking out behind Colin, was so wasted that he kept screaming at the restaurant and almost had us thrown out).
me
Yours truly.
