me

me
At some point someone's hipster scarf got passed around. I first tried to make it work for my "gay pirate" look...
me
Me, Leigh, Gurj and the birthday girl (seen here picking a winner).
me
Me and Big Ben Cho!
me
Hahaha. Here's a photo that pretty much sums up why I this site isn't kept very up-to-date.
me
"Welcome-to-Burger-King" headset so you can be verbally mocked by the eleven year-olds that beat you at online games? Check.
me
Wireless controller? Check.
me
So the big news in February was that I got myself a motherfucking xBox 360. Awwwww, yeah. This was the first thing that I ever bought on eBay (and I didn't even have the patience to do it properly in an auction - I saw one listed for a decent price in one of those "buy it now" auctions and just WENT FOR IT!)
me
Sarah does no likey!
me
...walked over to Happy Ending to celebrate Ellen Stagg's birthday! Here's me getting a face-licking from the bday girl!
me
Later that night I dressed up as Kurt Cobain...
me
Me and Pete Chen hoisting frosty Rheingolds! Mmmmmm!
me
Mike DiBianco, me, Hafeez and John Merlino.
me
On Saturday night, Meredith and I got all dressed up and headed down to Tribecca to attend...
me
Hahahaha.
me
Fast forward one week and I'm back in the same place: down in the basement coat room of Orchard Bar hiding out from the crowds. Except this time, I'm having fun with tape on my face! Woooo!
me
The next morning, I woke up sick as a dog. (My sickness = Instant karma payback for putting my balls on a stranger's eyebrows). Meredith took this pathetic photo of me at 8pm the next night after I spent the entire day laid up in bed.
me
Luckily, I had this little monkey to take care of me. Thank you, monkey.
me
Afterwards, I went to Don Hills to catch the end of MisShapes. I was shocked to find Leigh actually DJing when I arrived! It was like the first time I'd been there in months where she wasn't hiding out somewhere!
me
...so we could take some family portraits together with it! Hahaha.
me
In this version we managed to hide ourselves completely in the frame so that it looks like we're a 2-D picture!
me
So the three of us piled onto it and started taking more stupid photos.
me
Jack came into the back room where we were all holed up and was like "Uh, there's a party going on, dudes. Why are you all hiding out in my bedroom by yourselves?" So I explained that we were busy taking dumb pics of ourselves making ugly faces and didn't want to impose our lameness on the rest of the party. Then I showed him this face.
me
She hypothesized that I was able to make this face because I had "loose neck skin." Which left it up to me to prove that my neck skin wasn't looser than anyone else's.
me
I made my trademark "disappearing chin" face and Missy was awestruck by the wrinkles of skin that were bunching up around my (missing!) jawline.
me
Just because you don't want to willingly participate in an ugly face contest doesn't necessarily mean that you're off the hook. Hahah.
me
...a party Jack was throwing at his recently renovated apartment! Here's Smiley and Squinty hoisting drinks.
me
...another stupid face contest broke out. If I remember correctly, this one was about making your best "vampire face." Here's mine.
me
Give me a little DAP of CAULK!
me
On Friday night I went to Orchard Bar to for Sarah and Karen's Stolen Transmission party, but it was so crowded that I ended up spending pretty much the entire night down in the basement hiding in the coat check room with Gurj! It seems like this always ends up happening! All weekly parties always end up having some mundane nook that ends up being the secret place that's more fun that the party itself. (Like when MisShapes used to be at Luke and Leroy, the secret space was the back office!)
me
Then I went up afterwards and screamed a whole bunch (as I'm wont to do on the karaoke stage).
me
Later that night, Mer and I met up with a whole bunch other people at Pianos for...
me
On Monday night, I met up with Mike for dinner...
me
Me and Greg.
me
Oh Annabella, you little teen minx, you.
me
Here's me giving Mike the ol' "no really, this party used to be waaaaay more fun than this" speech. He wasn't buying.
me
Let's hear it for jail-bait!
me
...and that later that night we went to Jamie's Ball. (Which is the name of my fried Jamie Kirkpatrick's benefit party he holds every year to raise money for testicular cancer after he lost one of his boys to the disease a few years back). I try to go every year - because it's one of the few times of the year I can donate to charity and make testicular double-entendres all night. (But I'm not even the worst offender, check out the Jamie's Ball website and watch the video he's got there).
me
Yes, we still have a karaoke problem.
me
On Monday morning, me, Grant...
me
2005 was a pretty fucking sweet year. Here's to hoping 2006 is even better. Happy New Year!
me
The party wound down a little bit before 4am. Meredith decided to call it a night...
me
After all the "it's a brand new year!" excitement died down...
me
As well as the very lovely Mrs. Picarazzi (who was at the time six months preggo!)
me
Seth and I. Don't let the maroon turtleneck throw you off...
me
...the dude's got MOOOVES.
me
How about starting off your year as the meat in a manwich?
me
Happy 2006, Meredith!
me
The Tinny! I stole this picture from Amy's account of the night because I like it so much!
me
I got this awesome print of naked Meredith showing off her dope-tastic boo-tay.
me
...a guide to the best veggie restaurants in NYC! Thanks, guys!
me
Amanda, Fatty and Grant embraced my newfound vegetarianism and got me...
me
...a DANCE PAD so that we could play Dance Dance Revolution in my apartment! Incredible!
me
The second part was...
me
The first part was the Xbox version of Dance Dance Revolution!
me
Then it was time for my two-part "big" present from Fatty, Grant and Amanda!
me
In the next round of presents, I scored big-time with Call of Duty 2 for Xbox!
me
...that had a "secret" iron-on inside the shirt. Awwww.
me
I got this homemade iron-on shirt from Meredith...
me
...was this fucking awesome water-proof case for my camera so that I can take pictures while scuba diving!
me
In addition to a bunch of little gifts, there were a few "big" gifts in the mix. Meredith's big gift to me...
me
With the coziness factor now taken care of, it was time to start giving out presents! Someone would put on the Santa hat and then give out 1 gift to each person. After everyone had gotten 1 gift, the Santa hat would be passed on and the new Santa would pick out 1 gift for everyone. It was so much fun! Ok, onto the gifts (I'll go fast because there were sooooo many gifts...and I hardly remember who gave what to whom!).
me
...and Satanism / Mötley Crüe. Hahahah. (We would've outnumbered Team: Jew but Katie was out in Minnesota spending the holidays with her family).
me
...while us non-Jews repped across the table for anarchy...
me
Our decoration complete, we put my camera up on Fatty's mantle, set the auto-timer and snapped this pic.
me
I growl at your face.
me
Hahahaha.
me
...had it going on in the rear department! (Hey, Fatty - wasn't this the MARRIED LADY?!?).
me
And here's one I call "Dr. Shit-Teeth."
me
"Oh, hi there girl I just met! May I nuzzle your bubbies?" (PS - Check out Frank in the background looking for a woman to womanize). We ended up closing the place out and when we left around 3:30, we did the usual.
me
But in my defense, check the crowd reaction. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
me
Check out our scary eyes: They're glowing ike the metal on the edge of a knife. (Too bad I just realized I made that same joke about singing the same song almost 5 years ago. Jeez, maybe it's time I started picking out some new karaoke jams).
me
Then I sang a duet with one of Gurj's friends. (Probably either Total Eclipse of the Heart or Meatloaf's Paradise By the Dashboard Lights).
me
Then I showed off one of my old favorites. This is the stretch-face with a floater-eye thrown in for good measure. Ok ladies, your turn!
me
Here's me showing the girls one of newer, experimental faces. I call this one Dr. Dry Lip.
me
Here's me trying to show Ellen my secret weapon: The Disappearing Chin.
me
I busted out my best "float-eye"...
me
Here's me wearing Gurj's two-finger "SUPERFOX" ring while Gurj is giving me the one-finger.
me
So I'm sitting home, minding my business (aka - probably dorking out on xBox) and I get a text from Gurj: "Karaoke! Me, Ellen and a buncha girls. 2nd & 2nd! Come now!" I mean, how could I turn that down? I threw on a coat, and in a matter of minutes I was there! Here's me with with Ellen and Gurj who'd had a few drinks and were primed from some 'roke!
me
...take PROM PHOTOS! Here's me with prom-date Ellen!
me
Before getting full-on into the "show me the ugliest face you can make" game, I figured we'd warm up with the "flare your nostrils and hold them open as long as you can" game. While I'm good at making ugly faces, I'm not so great at the whole nostril-flaring thing.
me
So it's right after Christmas, and I'd just gotten back in town and after getting settled in, I decided to head out late at night and say hi to some friends. I got to the Darkroom around 3am and right after I'd arrived, look who shows up? Asian Porno Lady! I called her over and asked her to show me some of her "racier" titles. As I was going through the stack of various pirated titles, I came across this one, entitled "The Horse Fucker", and knew she'd just found a new customer. Cha-ching!
me
No, more like THIS! Hahaha.
me
John, Lauren and I are long-lost siblings.
me
Yours truly!
me
Sarah and me.
me
Then at the end of the night Sarah paid up for losing the $40 bet we'd made about whether or not she'd ever make out with a certain guy (she said she wouldn't, I had bet that she eventually would).
me
After everyone had given it their best, I busted out my showstopper. Just when I thought I was the undisputed champ...
me
Then I started showing off some of the advanced techniques I used to subtely sabotage "glamour shots" (because you can't always make a totally ridiculous, over-the-top face). Here's me demonstrating how, with a little practice, you can learn to cross just one eye a tiny bit and make it look like you have a floater-eye!
me
Luckily, big Scott was there to protect us both.
me
Rachael even gave me a lil' kiss (check out my huge honker getting smooshed..hahaha).
me
Then I played tug of war with Zoe the dog for like 45 minutes.
me
Waiting, waiting...
me
I got home around 2am and my mom was still up! First time ever! (My mom usually starts sleeping on the couch around 9pm and then after a two hour nap, wakes up at 11pm so that she can go to bed proper!). I guess that new "Sexiest Man Alive" issue of People Magazine must've been keepin' her up!
me
Me getting love from Adam, Amy and Paige after my "set."
me
But whatever. What I lacked in lyrical accuracy I more than made up for in energy and about halfway through the song I'd managed to get...
me
So Kenny, the lead singer (according to their MySpace page), was gracious enough to help me out the second time around.
me
Hell, by the time the song was finished, I'd even managed to win over the lead singer dude and he suggested that I sing a second song! (And I don't even remember what song it was - only that I knew it even less-well than the Lit song).
me
So after a few songs, the band, (who I've since found out is called Drunk Uncle Bob) took a break. I pulled the singer aside and this time I managed to convince him to let me sing a song! Then after he agreed to let me do it, it almost didn't happen because I didn't know most of the songs in the bands repertoire. In the end I managed to convince him that I sorta knew the words to My Own Worst Enemy by Lit and that I'd be able to wing it. Check out the singer's expression: totally annoyed because I'm messing up the words. Hahah.
me
Me and a guy named Billy Lashavicke (sp?) who I don't think I even said like 10 words to in all the 6 years we went to school together - but then 11 years and three Scotches later and you're best buds!
me
Happy Birthday, Jess! We love you!
