...my 75 year-old Siciliano barber always calls me out whenever I go see him after giving myself a trim. "What? You a-doing this to a-yo-self again?" haha.
I was walking out, she was walking in! Look who I ran into on the way home! If you need a pack of smokes, a toy with blinking lights or a DVD with either variety of a person having sex with a horse ("You want man fuck horse or horse fuck man?") THIS is your lady! (I've been running into her on the mean, late-night streets of NYC since 2005!)
Spent most of the evening visiting someone in hospice. (I'd link to his website, but it's no longer around, just like him). Couldn't warm up so I just left my coat on. Took this picture to remember him and how I felt after seeing him.
"O nobly-born, that which is called death hath now come. Thou art departing from this world, but thou art not the only one; death cometh to all. Do not cling, in fondness and weakness, to this life. Even though thou clingest out of weakness, thou hast not the power to remain here. Thou wilt gain nothing more than wandering in this Samsara. Be not attached to this world; be not weak."
The weird feeling of checking into a hotel in the middle of an office park awaiting to attend a meeting that you don't know much about = the life of a self-employed consultant.
On Tuesday afternoon, former karaoke super-host, Matt came over for what turned into a four-hour reiki session. Matt's since gone on to become a reiki practitioner!
Walking home down 9th street, I spotted a ridiculously colored and patterned shirt in a thrift store window. I'm not exactly sure what compelled me to go in, because I'm not exactly a big clothes shopper, but I decided to go in and try it on. It fit perfectly so I ended up buying it.
Like in this photo Grant took of me back in my apartment after the sun set and it started getting chilly. It looks like me, but also somehow, different!
Grant came over a little before midnight and we walked over to the football field at East River Park for an awesome session of night frisbee! One of my most favorite things in the world!
