Spicy tofu! ...an awesome Japanese dinner. Us vegetarians got tofu tempura. On Sunday night, I met up with a big old group of people at a Japanese restaurant down on the Bowery to celebrate... ...Tonkatsu, which is breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet! (Sort of like the Japanese equivalent of weinerschnitzel.) ...and some gyoza. So we ducked out the rain for some quick yakitori (barbequed meat skewers)... It's like a Michelangelo, but uh, with shrimp. Fancy sushi dinner. ..for a crazy-ass sushi dinner. ...sushi. David moved up to Woodstock for his job and I hardly get to see him anymore (boo!).
