A little after 1pm, Quinn came over and then we all headed out together!

Cat and I stayed up late tracking Doolittle Pixie's covers on iPad version of GarageBand.

...TREAT TIME!
me
If you're reading this site, you probably know that I carry my camera with me everywhere and use it to take pictures of stuff I want to remember. Sometimes I take selfies of myself so that later I'll remember how I was feeling about something. Usually, I'm pretty good about remembering what my expressions are about this. This one had me stumped so I went back into my diary and looked up the entry for this date. The only thing written is "Didn't smoke any weed." Hahaha.
me
Waiting for the elevator at 50 W 23rd.

...and I gave our remaining houseguest a bath!

me
Solid showing for 2am.
me
Spencer was there! I hadn't seen him in years. It was nice to catch up. Chatting with him I learned that the ad-hoc naked shoot he did at a party in my apartment back in 2003 led to a whole series of photos at parties! Neato!
me
Love all these ladies so much.
me
Happy birthday, Meredith!
me
Yep, still works with the mask on.
me
I like when Amanda does the lean-in.
me
I got to sit between these two. <3

A really not-so-cool thing is the cone-shaped metal sensor that leaves a divit in your forehead! (The new headset is much more improved...and cheaper).

Ugly in the morning!

On Thursday evening, I finally managed to get the NeuroSky headset I ordered working with my computer! The headset is a BCI (brain-computer interface) that measures your brainwaves in real-time and sends a stream of data wirelessly to your computer where it can be used to interact with computer programs.

Here's a photo of my playing one of the simple games that comes installed where you try to make barrels on the screen explode by focusing your attention on them.
me
Gurj crashed on our couch. Here's us all bundled up to hustle to the subway.
me
All bundled up for my morning walk-commute.

Merry Christmas!
me
...that my dad got one as well! Hahah.
me
Speaking of a Christmas story, the next morning my brother and I opened presents from our mother to find matching sweaters! And it turned out...

Hot chocolate mixes for me!

Definitely related.
me
All dressed up and ready to get my holiday on.

I got memory foam-lined slippers! It's like your feet are getting a hug.
me
...she came bearing gifts! Ellen is an EXPERT present-selector.
me
Meredith knows that later could mean months later and gave me the stink-eye until I packed up my mess...
me
...but it was kind of a big deal at the time. Haha.
me
On Sunday, Meredith and I...
me
I couldn't even stay awake past 10pm!
me
In addition to reading in a hammock and napping in a hammock, other patio activities included a bongo board...
me
Nothing better than a boat ride on a sunny day.
me
That waterproof sunblock really brings out my eyes.
me
Me with a 10' longboard.

On Tuesday morning, we took a day off from surfing (to rest our sore bodies and bruised bellies!) and took a ride into the nearby city of Leon for the day.

Haha.

We landed right at 10pm, we had a text message from Ty telling us the address of a Halloween party he was at. He told us he had costumes waiting for us!
me
While waiting in line for security, we made friends with a woman who was in line with us who ended up sitting next to me on our flight! Yay, airplane strangers!
me
I think I've seen something like this before. Different drank, same krunky flavor (and head-sized cans).
me
Blink.
me
Edie's cheeks were getting smooshed by her spandex headpiece. Haha.
me
On Saturday afternoon we walked a block over to Tompkins Square Park...
me
Later on that evening I busied myself creating various hook-like tools to unclog the vacuum cleaner. Blech!
me
Time to head home.
me
Congrats...
me
We purchased tickets on the Bolt Bus so instead of going to the bus station, they just tell you where to stand on Sixth Avenue.
