No matter how rough the terrain gets, this little dingus is always trying to pull me up the trail. This was the beginning of discovering that Maddy LOVES TO HIKE! At first I kept her on-lease everywhere.... ...and an early night's sleep! ...Kate helped us pack the RV up and saw us off! Thanks so much for having us! <3 Such majestic beasts! Sunday morning Maddy was hanging out with her Mexican ceramic counterpart. ..and taking turns holding Maddy in her Russian Princess coat! We stayed up late night talking... Maddy on the loose! My fave picture of the two of us! <3 This little dum dum resting her chin on the windowsill makes me laugh every time. After eating and breaking camp Friday morning, it was time to head to a new destination! Maddy wasn't taking any chances of being left behind and waited for me all morning in the driver's seat. Woke up the next morning and took Maddy to explore the campgrounds. Wiener dog waiting for bedtime. Lol. RV vacation begins now! ...and a little after 3pm, we were ready to hit the road! ...she finally relented to my lap. Maddy loves a road trip! But after tiring of two hours in this position... After we ate, I grabbed the hound and hopped into an Uber I'd hired to drive me all the out to northwestern NJ to pick up... Monday night couch hangs with Maddy after I spent the day getting ready for my big RV Vacation Adventure .
Maddy was very interested and gentle! They had some cute interspecies nose bumping before moving on our way! Took this lil nibbler for a squirrel chase on the water. Wiener dog reunion! With this lil lady keeping my leg warm. ...and these two kept on snoozing. Aww, couch buddies. As far as I'm concerned, it's not a proper hang out unless it includes a small nap. Gurj woke up... Picked up a new space heater at the hardware store. ...and then hung out while Maddy napped under my biomat (which is like a mega-electric blanket!) Haha. Such buddies. Vin came by on Tuesday to visit with me and Maddy. Yeah, that's the stuff, thanks. And also, Game of Thrones? Hey. Can you put the jacket on me and I can sit on your lap? Ok you're weird. Why you hold it next to me? *Sniff, sniff.* Who feather this is? Well, look Maddy isn't it just fascinating to see how closely the colors match your coat. It's like seeing the same exact genetic information expressed in a different species! Crazy, right? Maddy doesn't eat a lot of plants, but there are a few kinds of succulents that must smell good and she loves to destroy them. ...and slowly moves across the couch in order to stay sunny. This one, also sits in the sun... Spent my last evening in Florida hanging with my parents. Reading and relaxing in the sun with Amy. Spent the evening down the street from my parent's place hanging out with Uncle Bruce! Dexter and Maddy are buds. Chris' kids love sun-squinty Maddy Max thinks it's hilarious that Maddy fits into her dog carrier and wanted to see... ...if he could also fit! On Saturday afternoon, Maddy and I hit the road again! This time... Ok, you can play guitar but I'm gonna watch. Got back into town on Wednesday and this one wouldn't let me our of her sight for a few days. ...in my cozy home office... ...matched my new pillow. Vin came over on Tuesday morning... Maddy ran into her favorite pack of Poms on our walk! Winter window watching. ...and keeping Maddy warm with my legs! Maddy sat next to the couch (in her Russian Princess jacket) and ice-grilled me until I agreed to take her for a walk. So much attitude. Hey, are you coming back to bed? I got a terrible cold and was out of commission for a few days. I was laying around on a heating pad with Maddy when my brother texted me to let me know... She feel asleep on my couch cuddling Maddy her feets! Maddy is a huge pizza fan, FYI. Welcome back to Manhattan, Meredith! On Monday evening I brought Maddy over to Ellen's for a dog hang. Meredith came over for dinner and a hang. Mer came over for dinner and to cuddle a Maddy. Much better! Lil supervisor. Out with the old... Important window conference with all the ladies. Chin-resting and air-quoting. Vin came over on Monday afternoon to help me... Nest dog is excited to meet you. Friday night drinks at C-tav with Grant, Vin and Maddy. Maddy love laying on my Biomat heating pad. "Turn on, please?" On Saturday morning, we checked out and said farewell before splitting up into separate cars for our drive home. Here's to a brand new year - love you all lots! ;) We probably only lasted about 60 seconds or so, but we got in all the way and that's what counts! The Dude even got in a bit with us to make sure we were going to be alright! Maddy barked and barked from the warm safety of the sand. Best way to kick off a new year! ...out for a beach walk! All the dogs too. Four ladies I love. <3 Maddy fell asleep with her lil chin on the table. <3 Montauk bound! Three people, three dogs! Took Maddy for a walk and and she gave the chickens one last heckling for the year. That evening Jared and Gurj came over... Xmas dog kisses. Maddy got a new chew toy! With my little stowaway. Headed down to DC on the train. ...with my big-nose buddy before a long night out. We stayed over on the farm so I brought Maddy along! Post-pie couch crew. Doesn't want to go outside in the cold! Dumbo ears! Awww. ...with Maddy! Jane Anne came over to spend some quality time... Jane Anne came over to visit her one true love, Maddy. Went to the beach with this sleepy hound on Thursday. Super chill Florida Wednesday.
