East River Park. Noticed more of those wispy cirrus clouds that very quickly turn into... Last day of the month! Took Maddy for a nice long walk in East River Park. This was part of a two-minute squirrel stand-off. They have a shipping container they use to all the bikes they use to teach people to ride bikes and it's covered with great chalk drawings. Always wear your shark helmet. ...and then we took Maddy to East River Park for a long walk! Later that afternoon, I meet up with Vin and we hung out on the East River. By Tuesday, all the snow had melted and I took Maddy for a nice long walk over to East River Park. All of the trees were ringed with wonderfully-fragrant Christmas tree mulch! ...Saturday was a warm day and Maddy got to run around and enjoy the melting snow sans-jacket. Stopped to admire the candles and booze that someone had left out on the overpass to mourn a friend. While walking Maddy near the East River on Wednesday, the river was covered with a drifting mist of dust... Cool to see how the cloud coverage is a dome that ends right above the horizon. On Thursday afternoon I took Maddy for her long walk (short weiner legs!) over to East River Park. The installation had three different pods. An open, geodesic dome-framed tent for living, a storage / greenhouse, and a garden with bike-pedal-powered electricity. Jared peeking into the tent. ...and to watch all the joggers go by with all their crazy, varying strides and feel like we were watching some wild, cartoonish parody of animals interacting around a watering hole in the African veldt. Friday morning took Maddy on her favorite long walk... Upright bike posture! Later that evening Fatty came over for a visit... ...and we went for a bike ride down East River Park. Pretty. Admiring the blooming flowers in East River Park. Maddy lifts her paw and points every time she sees a squirrel that she'd like to chase. Took Maddy for a long walk to walk that shit off. Afternoon walk in East River Park... Thursday was a gorgeous, sunny day and I took Maddy on a long walk... ...taking me on a long walk over to East River park to chase squirrels. Such tiny legs! When the weather is decent and I don't have to see clients in the morning, Maddy insists on... We decided to try to put all of our troubles aside for the day and head out into NYC to do something new and fun. They're building these cool bridge-walkways that extend out over the river in East River Park! Exciting to see what they're going to look like when they're finished. Afterwards, Ty and I went to East River Park and played frisbee... ...and we headed over to East River Park... ...to play frisbee with a light up frisbee !
