On our walk over to the reception, we ran into Bertl on his scooter and got a chance to wish him farewell! ...these really cool buses with fold-out seats that converted the aisle into ANOTHER ROW! At some point during our night of drinking and storytelling, I told Fraggle & Bilbo about how my friends used to photobomb each other with our balls out. This of course instantly became their new favorite game. I'll spare you the hundreds of photos I have of these guys' balls. Warming up and drying off between dives! We got up super early on Wednesday morning and walked down to the beach... We went into town and had a late dinner on the beach with Bertl & Fraggle. Haha. A little later that afternoon, we rented a scooter and drove over to... Meredith was one of the few people to take our guide up on the offer to hold one of the screens. Haha. The food was sooo good! Mango and cheese salad to start... Post-breffis nap. We woke up bright and early, and when we wandered into town to find something to eat... After another TWO HOURS on the boat, we took a car from Tagbilaran to Alona Beach and finally arrive a little past 1:30am. Our taxi driver took us to a few different hotels trying to find vacancy without much luck. Then he looked us up and down and said, I know a place that probably has vacancy if you don't mind a place that's a little....different. ...Psycho Killer! (Which isn't funny unless you hear it spoken in a French accent). . ...we ran into pack of beach puppies! About the best you can do as a vegetarian in the Philippines! Before passing out, we had managed to book a snorkeling tour with a local named Ricky who pulled his boat up on the beach right next to where we were finishing our breakfast! Yay, travel buddies! Meredith and Amanda out in the unreal, bath-warm water. Just a buncha rocks with a Virgin Mary statue and some impossible looking trees. Later that evening, we went out for a late night dinner on the strip. Fun motorcycle sidecar taxi ride. ...small airport. Where we waited... We woke up early and checked out! Afterwards, we headed back to the hotel for an early night jammy party. ...we opted for Shakey's Pizza! After a nap back at the hotel, we climbed through the fence so that we could walk along the beach... ...saw the old Spanish fort. ...we met up in Amanda's room to try to figure out where we should all travel to next! Amanda only had 4 days before she had to come back to Manila and head home, so we wanted to travel somewhere close enough where we'd still have time to have fun! After a delicious breakfast downstairs... We woke up the next morning... Let's hear it for international buddies! ...over to the hotel to meet up with Amanda! Amanda had been in Hong Kong and when she'd heard that we were going to be in the Philippines, we'd planned to meet up! Getting our airport Chinese on. Later that evening, we went to Caiti's to drop off Maddy for an extended houndsitting! Thanks, Caiti! There was a very happy Seamless mix-up and we somehow ended up with both Thai food and Curly's for lunch. FEAST! Movie night with popcorn. On Saturday we got a Piper to watch while Ellen was away on vacation! On Thursday Mer and I traveled back to New York after two weeks in Florida . As soon as we got home we ran over to Caiti's to pick up our grimple! For our last evening in town, we went out to an awesome Mexican dinner with my parents and Bruce and Elyse! Get it? On Monday afternoon, the few people who were still left got together for one last meal together. We asked a passerby to take one final photo... Our crew pretty much took over the porch.
