Check out the spread! Almost time to eat! Yes! Quiet night at home Tofu scramble. For dinner, Meredith made all kinds of delicious wrappery-thingies! Fast-forward a bit and we're back from from our trip to Nicaragua . Nothing makes me happier than coming back home after being away and getting to order from all of my favorite restaurants all over again! You gotta go away in order to come back! Last meal! Happy Thanksgiving! Thursday was our last full day at the house! Here's my big Thanksgiving lunch after a morning of surfing. Haha. Dinner! By 9pm that evening, I was back out of bed and starting to feel better. After we got back, we had pancakes! And soon, with delicious peanut butter & jelly toast! Got another small set in the afternoon, then lunch! Veggie dinner! Delightful waffle morning. Late night nugget dinner. Mix and match plate. Oh hell yes. For months and months I would get my lunch at Bonobos on 23rd Street. Veggie burger club, omg. After one last glorious southern breakfast, we bid these two handsome gentlemen farewell... Veggie curry. Southern breakfast. Potato pancakes! ...on the way to Quantum Leap in the East Village for lunch. Had me a veggie banh me sandwich for lunch. The next morning we went to a diner that that all sorts of crazy veggie options. Whoa. Oh yes. ...Meredith cooked an Indian feast! Afterwards, Mer and I went to Odessa for Sunday diner breakfast! Healthy choices. Went to Hummus Place on St. Marks for a light lunch! Afterwards, we went over to Life Cafe and got lunch. (I miss you, seitan sandwich!) On Tuesday night I went over to Apartment 3A for a homecooked meal. More healthy eating on Monday! Stuffed pears! Delicious pizza rolls for dinner... A little after 2pm, we stopped for a bite to eat! $600 lunch. But first, churro break! Knarflicous! BON APPETITE! Mmmmm! I wanted something light and ordered the watermelon and feta salad! Light dinner. And a giant frittata! Pancakes, waffles and french toast! About 15 minutes into our swim, breakfast was announced. And, holy moly, what a breakfast it was! On Tuesday evening we enjoyed a Curly's Vegetarian Lunch feast... On Friday, a bunch of us went to the Olive Garden to celebrate something at work. YOLO-UNCH Healthiest meal I'd eaten in a while. ...and it was time to eat! Dinner was shaping up. Mmmmm! ...there was a spread of breakfast food... ...mmm, home fries. Enjoyed homemade peanut butter cookies, biscuits and purple-potato salad! ...and Grant got the stuffed French Toast and we went splitsies. The food was incredible! I got the Eggs Florentine... OMG. We went to a really nice middle-eastern meal... ...and some light apps. ...for all the pizzas that we ordered to show up! WOOOO! On Thursday afternoon Patrick, Mark and I went out to lunch to before heading out on the streets to try to find local businesses willing to give us feedback on a beta website-building product we were prototyping for Yodle. Two men were arguing loudly the entire time it took us to eat our falafels. AWKWARD! ...angel food cake and fresh-whipped cream! Stuffed eggplant. Wow. So much goodness. This time we stopped at Odessa on the way to the subway to get a PROPER diner breakfast! She even let me order pineapple with jalapeno. ...TACO PARTY! MMMMMMM. I miss the tofu scramble. Twenty ingredients. Salad dinner! Afternoon snack time! We had eggs and french toast! My dad had a ham & egg sammich! LATE NIGHT TACOS! Me taking pictures of Meredith eating = asking to be punched in the nose. Mango lentil makes me drool. ...And it's all gone! Charles' French toast looked amazing! Our waitress carried all this over with one hand. (I mean, yeah it was all on a tray, but still) Eggs, muffins and chocolate chip pancakes! On Friday morning we went to Life Cafe (RIP) for an awesome sidewalk brunch. If it's not fried... ...vegetarian dim sum! ...I'm not interested! We went to Matt's for a San Loco taco festival. YES! Some white bean jim jam. Mom got a waffle. Steak and eggs. Check out that smile! Happy Father's Day, dad! Love you! Stopped at Hot N Crusty (the unfortunate actual name of the restaurant/bodega) and got a pizza bagel before getting on the L! Thai food for dinner. Yes! Thanks for having us, Andy & Pepper!
