Jenny has no recollection of this whatsoever! When I first showed her these photos, she was laughing and she asked "What in the world was I eating? What are those, cookies?" I told her, "No, they were chicken nuggets." Jenny groaned really loud and said, "Oh, nooooo! I'm a vegetarian!" Hahahaha.

...which meant that her entire purse was filled with buffet food. I love this photo so much.

The proprietor at this restaurant hooked me up with a nice meal, but totally fucked me by giving me tap water. He brought out a big bottle of Aquafina water, and made a big show of opening the cap and pouring it into my glass - but as soon as I started drinking it, I could tell that it was just tap water that he'd put into an Aquafina bottle. Had terrible stomach cramps and crazy fever dreams all night, but didn't get this shits. (My stomach is basically made of iron).
food
I went back to my room and read and napped. Woke up around 10pm, and loaded up on carbs with this delicious pasta dinner!

food
...so I went back to the Auski Camp, ordered myself a delicious little pizza...
food
After walking around the town for a bit and checking out different hotels and hostels, I decided to stop and get something to eat. I ended up going to a tiny local shop and getting koshary! Koshary is a traditional Egyptian meal that consists of a strange combination of macaroni, spaghetti, rice, black lentils, chick peas, garlic sauce and a spicy tomato chili sauce, all topped with fried onions. It sounds weird, but it's fucking awesome and I ended up eating at least 2 of these a day the rest of my time in Dahab.
food
There weren't many vegetarian options at the hotel, but at 6pm I was still not ready to venture back out into the chaos of the Cairo streets, so I just ordered a couple small dishes.
