On Monday I had lunch in La Plaza... Spent my evening hanging in La Plaza I love having my party in this garden. Such a great space to have in the neighborhood! Hey, Bacardi get the party started. Good news as the party was outside in the garden across the street! Cool to see when the labeling... ...matches the product. My neighbor working on a portrait... Explorin! Garden looking pretty! New greenhouse shed. Pretty, right? I ate the all summer! Friday I went over to La Plaza and noticed that the peaches were in! Love me some local Manhattan peaches! Such weird mirror symmetry in this plant! Watching bees on Wednesday. Feed me! Tuesday morning garden exploring with my neighbor Zayla (that I met out earlier in the week). Spotted this handsome turtle sunning in La Plaza on Sunday. Took Maddy for a long Saturday walk... ...admired the bees on the bright pink flowers! Thursday afternoon walk through La Plaza which is looking more-jungley by the day! Summer in NYC is my fave. Stopped by La Plaza that evening and watched an art show that was going on. Woke up early on Wednesday to perfect weather and walked over to... Sat in La Plaza and listened to the bees buzz around. Happy May 2016, everybody! Yes! Maddy was very interested and gentle! They had some cute interspecies nose bumping before moving on our way! If you stoop down next to the pond and move slowly, the curious painted box turtles will come up to say hello! Looked out the window to find the paper mache dragon I'd seen my neighbors making in the garden a few days earlier! Looked really great after being painted! Rolando also had some paper mache magic tree that was decorated with his famous soda cans he turns into metal flowers! In the evening I went for a walk with Maddy and hung out with my neighbors in the garden. He is getting so good! Rolando and some other artists were making a giant paper-mache dragon for an upcoming street parade! ...and then they let him get on with his garden exploring. I got to feed him some greens... ALSO, this woman and her son were there with their pet tortoise! Like all the 90 degree angles in these guys. Spent some time hanging with the turtles in the park. Chickens were hanging out in the trees next to the sidewalk on my walk home. We caught up on neighborhood news. Good yarn-mural on the park fence! They built a lovely new trellis and benches in the community garden. We visited our favorite chickens that like to hang out in a pot! Blossoms on the trees! I love the spring.
