Mer and me. ...met up with Pauly and took the A train out to.... After getting back to our (lonely!) apartment sans puppy, we packed up a beach bag... Meredith showing off one of the many DOGG fashion hats they had available for sale. Haha. Afterwards, we went and got soft serve ice cream. Meredith made friends with the dog Pauly was dog-sitting. On Friday night Mer and I headed over to the Sly Fox to meet up with Mandy... Shrimpy's "shrimp wearing a Hawaiian shirt and fedora" mascot is really realy creepy. Family portrait! Haha. Thursday evening my parents came into town for dinner. It's also hard to take pictures of these two sleeping. Hahaha. It's really hard to train your dascshund to stay out of the bed when your bed is 5" off the ground. Doug getting ready to head up to Boston to stay with his sister for a while. I spent Sunday recovering from my 33rd birthday party . Oof. 4:30am last of the party! Thanks so much for hosting my party, guys. I had a wonderful time! Go! Ready? ...the hula hoop party! 2am. Haha. We got slices on the boardwalk. Awesome day at the beach. We packed up around 6. Mer. The tide started coming in around 4:30 and I dug a "preventative trench" to protect our towels from the encroaching seawater. Transfer to the A at Broadway Junction. The connecting hallway between stations has stain glass windows. Hit up Rite Aid for some beach supplies. Umbrella? Check! Sunday was so hot! We decided to make it a beach day! On Saturday afternoon, Meredith took a chair and folding table... She was making jewelry with all sorts of things like MTA Metrocards encased in clear resin! Haha. Mandy and Meredith coldlamping like Jodeci after the show. (TWO Jodeci photos in one entry. Yes!) ...she'll put her feet up and keep on sleeping. Haha. Meredith sleeps like this ALL THE TIME. With her legs hanging over the bed. She must sense that something feels strange, but rather than move... Mer doing work. I had to cheat and use the camera to shadow my eyes. Haha. My eyes are so sensitive to light that it's hard for me to not squint even with my eyes closed! Haha. The morning after her bachelorette party, Meredith posed for a couple photos before we took the decorations down. Kiss the hound gooodbye. Meredith gets her nails did. More Rockband! Happy Wholesome Bachelorette Party! Meanwhile, back in the living room, Meredith had broken out Rock Band! But it was sort of defective silly string that was way too watery. ...and got sprayed in the hair with silly string Meredith came out of the kitchen... NOT FOR USE AT CLOSE RANGE. Hanging with Mom & Grandma. Hope it doesn't rain. TP Ladies and the Bride to Be. Here's everyone TP dress together! Faaaancy! After they'd finished decorating, they headed uptown to Meredith's parents house to join the bachelorette brunch party. Here's Meredith and my grandma! (I didn't go to this party or take any of these pictures! So I'm totally going to be making up the captions) Got the hands just right. On Sunday morning we put the dogs in bags (no cages but bags are ok!)... Fuck this shit, I'm going to bed. Walking the hounds. Seat belt hurts. Sleepy. Orange you glad to see my smile? Cookie thief. Mer got veggie sushi. They even invested in getting a brand new MING DYNASTY HOUSE RULES placard printed up and mounted to the wall! The the original sign was totally ghetto looking because they had to reduce the "maximum buffet time" from THREE HOURS down to two hours (because so many people WERE STAYING FOR MORE THAN TWO HOURS!!!) and they just ripped off the number "2" and hand-wrote in the number "3." Hahah. Nice to see them classin' up the rules! Later that night we piled into two cars and headed out for dinner. Those expressions can only mean one thing! My favorite restaurant... Edie prefers to referee. Maddy likes to nuzzle necks. Afternoon BBQ! Smoker's Bench. On Friday afternoon, Bruce, Elyse, Chris and Jen came over. Pizza dinner on the back patio. Mmmm. Three-wiener party! Point Pleasant Beach Station! Can come out? Will be quiet! Edie and Meredith wishing me a happy July 1st. Good morning! Haha. My ladies, lounging. Happy June! Their building's elevator was clearly designed for blue-eyed people. On Tuesday night, Meredith and I went crosstown... ..and up on to their building's awesome roof deck. ...to have dinner at Fatty and Marina's new apartment in the West Village. We went out onto their fire escape... Later that night Lisa and Pauly came over for family night. Plus the waitress took this nice photo of us. Sunday afternoon errands. TWO bad ones. Such a bad one!
