On the subway ride home Gurj and Christina were so tired that their leeetle eyes kept closing and I kept trying to take sneaky pics of them dozing off... Bright-shirt contest. Still managed to meet up with Pauly on the way! Wooooo! On Saturday I had a lazy morning with Meredith and we enjoyed the last day in July with diner breakfast at Odessa! The following Saturday we decided to run the exact same beach plan except with more people! Wooo! Meredith likes patterns. On Monday night a bunch of us got together... Subway home Freeze pop snack! Around noon we went around the corner to Life for brunch. Beach tired. <3 We got to Beach 60th a little after 2pm. Stopped for a snack on the way. I got a huge pizza bagel. Meredith went the healthier route. So much love. Birthday duet serenade. ...KARAOKE! ...because Meredith was there celebrating Simone's birthday with... Saying goodbye to the ladies on my way out the door to work. On Monday night we went out for late night sidewalk drinks to celebrate Rachael's birthday! Salad dinner! ...that's when you know you're almost home! Meredith reads books about Alan Turing! Meredith and my mom teamed up to try to turn the blender into an ice cream maker... Enjoying our parentally-supervised sunbathing. We decided to check out the pool. There's a whole lot of nothing to be done down in the wild pine swamps of southern NJ. Book reading. TIME TO GET UP! On Friday night Mer and I took the bus down to south Jersey to visit y parents. Here's my mom getting enthusiastic about late night snack time. Meredith looks shell-shocked. Haha. On Wednesday morning Ellen came over early before work to drop off Piper with us for a few days. Rachel and Mer. Windy! Haha. The bar was hot and way over-crowded (what with the free ice cream and all). We worked our way into a hidden corner and our exploration was rewarded with the discovery of an industrial-strength fan. Later that afternoon, we headed up to the Upper West Side to attend Jenny and Josh's engagement party! All dressed up. <3 On Saturday afternoon we ran into Marissa who'd just gone bikini shopping.
