Julie played along for the first few minutes, but as the song dragged on Ed's crooning and caressing went from cute to creepy in a hurry. (Hey, remember when Chiara's friend Leila almost hooked up with Ed after a serenading?)
Then Ed went up and sang some ballad from the 70s that no one else knew. Ed can't truly emote his love unless he has a muse in the audience to perform to. On this particular night, Julie was singled out as the lucky lady.
I don't know who the guy singing was, I was more interested in taking pictures of Buddy trying to manage playing the inflatible guitar while wearing BOTH Hulk Fists.
Any time you end up wearing a silver sparkly bandana, it's usually a safe bet to say you've had an interesting evening. And hey, the month's only half over. Click here for Part Two.
After the party was over (aka - after the open bar ended) I headed back eastward and found my way over to Sid and Buddy's Thursday night karaoke party at Remote Lounge.
Brian's one of the dudes that manages the place and beyond helping us to continue cutting the karaoke line, he also hooked us up with free drinks! Karaoke line cutting privileges? Free drinks? Rina was impressed. And we all know where that leads...
Monday night I met up with Sarah and we headed over to a new karaoke night (shhhh! Don't tell Sid & Buddy I'm cheating!) over at Crash Mansion (which is, hands down, the GIZZAYEST name for an establishment in the history of the world).
Emily Scarlett-Kramer on the mic. A bonafide hot mamma and half the girl-force behind the now legendary CAKE parties. (On a side note, I get like 2-3 emails PER WEEK from dudes asking me how to get invited. Find a cute girl who's a member and have her invite you.)
Oh, you thought I was just being funny when I capitalized ROKK on the last page? Ninja, please! Check out Fatty bringing the pain (whilst fisting a king can of Sappora, no less).
Fatty getting ready to ROKK the mic! Don't think this night is over! Oh, no! We're just getting started. Hunker on down in you seat there and get comfy and when you're ready, check out the rest of the night.
When the Pool Bar was getting ready to close, Seth made the birthday executive decision that we head to some tiny, divey Japanese restaurant that has...what else...KARAOKE!
Quicly became a duet. Er, sort of. This girl didn't sing with me, however, she did lay writing on the stage while I sang and did all sorts of crazy floor dancing. It significantly enhanced my performance.
As closing time approached, Matt invited (the few) remaining people left in the bar to all come up on stage and sing the standard end of the evening finale: Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.
Yeah, when the ass worship photos start - you know things have totally spiraled out of control. In fact, after ass worship, only one stop remains on the embarrassing train of intoxication...
On Monday night, I did something horrible - I cheated on Sid N' Buddy. That's right, I frequented another karaoke night! Noooo! Here's Amanda, of "shows her boobs" fame getting silly on the mic.
