On my way out the apartment on Monday morning I walked into the living room and these two were just sitting on the couch like this side by side. Total buds.
It took her all of about 10 minutes to use her razor sharp puppy teeth (and tiny puppy raptor claws!) to create a puppy-sized hole in the gate's mesh that she could easily wriggle her way through! Most adorable jailbreak ever!
On Sunday afternoon, Scott brought Edie over to our apartment so she could meet Maddy. Maddy was as interested as she was concerned and kept getting chased in worried circles by Edie. Look at her eyes in this photo. Haha.
Amy with their full-size daschund, Teddy! We'd seen pictures of him for months but this was the first time we were meeting him and he was a little shy. Full-size lap-chicken!
Aw, seriously? I called Roxane (the breeder) that day and confirmed that we wanted her. (Here's a link to Roxane's Daschunds if anyone is interested! She's was great and we highly recommend her!)
As soon as I saw this photo, I was like "THAT'S OUR DOG." Meredith was excited and was like "YES!" (Later, Meredith told me that she didn't think the dog was all that cute but she trusted my judgement. Haha).
The wreath we'd taped to our door fell off and it was sitting in this chair. Piper discovered it there and turned the wreath into a feathery little dog nest!
Space dog won first prize at the parade. (Which was probably well-deserved because it can't be easy to train your dog to be cool walking around with a big plastic bowl around on his head).
I got home in the evening and this one had no idea that I was out secretly shopping for rings all day! Tee hee hee! Here's Meredith with her friend's dog that we were dog sitting for! Her name is Tina!
Sensing that the yucks would be hard to top, Ralph decided to "go big" and suggest, uh, whatever this is a photo of. Hahahah. Soooo fucking awesome. (PS - whose dog is that???)
This girl (whose name I don't remember - sorry!) joined our team and we immediately started racking up points: "Team member walking someone else's dog" 10 POINTS!
After the last contestant sang, the judges went off to confer on the winner and I headed away from the stage to a little nook in the front corner of the bar to see what Brooke, Casey and Ryan were up to.
Look at me totally off my mark! I was pulling my best tough guy face when everyone else had clearly decided (even Piper!) that it was a cute and cuddly moment. Check out Piper's tongue! As soon as we saw it sticking out in this photo, we decided to play our favorite Piper-game...
On Tuesday evening, Murdo came by to say hi! Check out Hector all bundled up in his backpack! Murdo rides his bike everywhere and this is how Hector travels with him when he's biking! Hahaha. Sooooo good.
I made it to the bar around 6pm and was stoked to see that Lisa and Pauly had brought their dog Pizza to the bar and that he was already showing off his amazing balance skills on the top of the booths.
Meredith's not much for "going out on a school-night," so I said farewell to her (and to Hector dressed up in his little Hulk-a-mania shirt) and headed out to hit the town all skulled up!
