Siege and I drove over to their new apartment in the moving truck. When we arrived, we found a whole bunch of new people who had showed up to help unpack! Team #2: Amanda's friend whose name I forgot (sorry!), Amanda and LionMane (keeping things real in his Beetlejuice pants!). Oh, and Ellen also joined this team but I don't think she'd shown up yet! On Thursday night, I met up with Amanda and Fatty (and a whole bunch of other people) and we went to go see The Simpsons Movie and laid down some Britney! Then Amanda went up (in her see-through shirt!)... On Wednesday night, Meredith and I went down to 2nd On 2nd to sing some late-night karaoke! Here's Ellen, Amanda, Kip and one of Ellen's friends. After karaoke, Amanda came over to play Guitar Hero (probably so she'd no longer have to listen to me say "DUDE! You HAVE to try it, it's so much fun!!!"). There wasn't much of a stage, so Amanda hopped up on a crate and got everyone's attention by doubling-up on the mics! ...and Sam Rockwell? Later that night, a whole bunch of people came over for Cranium! Amanda using Leigh as a puppet! Her team was stymied... Jack and Amanda. Friday night I went out with Amanda and this is the only picture I took. (???) Later that night I went out with Amanda. We got lifted. On Thursday night, Meredith, Amanda and I went over to Siege and KT's for movie night! Meredith fell asleep on the floor... So were KT, Siege and Amanda! Katie and Amanda! Amanda! (Possibly bummed about not getting any candles to lick?) ...but they turned up the heat for the big chorus. Hahaha. Amanda and Chris hit the stage for a duet. They also started out all low-key and mellow... Amanda! Amanda and Meredith (my marryoke wedding dates!) Amanda and Fatty. Hahah. ...and giver of sultry looks. Hahaha. When Seth took the stage a few songs later to throw down some Stevie Wonder, Amanda ran back up on stage to act as cheerleader, background dancer... ...to be his interpretive background dancer! Hahahaha. I'm also including this photo because Amanda is totally smuggling raisins in it. Amanda killed it. Check out the crowd response: sheer disbelief. ...Sunday Night Karaoke down in the basement! Woooo! I don't remember if this is someone Amanda knows or if it was just a boy she thought was cute. Either way, here they are! Later that night Amanda came over. We donned our winter gear (it was FUCKING FREEZING out) and then hiked over to Lit for some... Amanda's big red lips and Siege. (Turns out the two of them went to high school together!) On Saturday night there was a blizzard and the only other person besides me that felt up to braving the snow in order to head out was Amanda (who can definitely touch her lip to her nose). Thursday night started out in the East Village. I grabbed a few drinks with Grant, Amanda, Chris the Greek (who was in town from DC) and Eric George. Amanda was there! (And I LOVE this photo of her. So lipstastic). Hafeez, John, Karl, Amanda and Mike. At then a little before midnight, Fiasco took the stage and rokked it. Amanda doublin' up on the mic. Yes, we still have a karaoke problem. Amanda went her own road and opted to raid my "party clothes from 1996" drawer and ended up in this winning lil' ensemble. ...Amanda, Meredith and Chris all went downtown to South Street Seaport to check out "BODIES...The Exhibition ." ...while Grant, Amanda and I hopped in a cab. They headed home and afterwards I took the cab to see if MisShapes was still going on. Which sorta became the catalyst for a 2nd little mini-party in my bedroom. But hey, that's just how we do. Happy 2006, Mrs. Peepers! Siege (drinking a Sour Apple Smirnoff Ice, no less!) and Mandy Moo. Amanda popped the champagne! The affair started low-key with the usual suspects (Grant, Fatty, Katie, Amanda and Siege) chilling in my room. Vadim and Amanda's tummy. Hahaha. So there you have it. One of the bestest Decembers ever. Happy Holidays! Amanda again! This time I think she was singing something by Heart. Amanda, much like me, favors any song that involves a lot of SCREAMING! Amanda and Chris! Beltin' out Barracuda . Amanda got Grant a DVD player that plays DVDs from all regions so that he could watch DVDs from England! Amanda prepares to open the giant, over-sized nativity scene card that I got for here that played music when you open it! (The MIDI version of "Silent Night, Holy Night" if I recall correctly). Amanda shows off her card that Grant decorated with what he called "Hanukkah stuff:" dredels, stars of David, menorahs, and a guy with a big nose holding a bag of money. Hahah. ...a motherfucking ICE CREAM MAKER! WOOOOO! Amanda (I think!) got Siege... Fatty got The Ultimate Ice Cream Book (he was stoked to get a book that wasn't a subtle insult) and... Mrs. Peepers Claus. Amanda and Meredith open some of their dredel-themed Hanukkah gifts. And Grant got a picture of Amanda that was an out take from when she appeared in Ghostbusters and got attacked by Slimer. Amanda got two vintage metal signs for her apartment. Amanda shows off The Blind Watchmaker (which HAD to be gift from the Fatty - he's been all about Richard Dawkins since before he became a household name). We made sure we had a segregated table. The Jews sat on one side of table and repped for the Tribe with this awesome chopstick Star of David...
