Later in the afternoon, we went down the street to the Hogg's House (they claim it's pronounced HOAG...yeah, right!) - they're friends of my parents and have a yearly Xmas party. They have two kids and so there are always a few random Roxbury High School alumni sightings! Here's Meredith with Matt Anderson and Tim Beech!
Back in Roxbury later that night we ended up going to Muldoon's Saloon to meet up with a bunch of my friends from high school. Here's Rob Berliner and Jen Hoche.
Right before we rolled into tha joint, Emily Cmeilewski showed up! Woooo! (Because, as you know, it's just not a complete Roxbury Reunion unless the EM to the EL to the E is there).
Lisa Puzio (Hi, can we please make out already? Thank you) and Kim Shortino. (By the way, if you want to see something freaky - check out how much this year's photo looks exactly like the photo I took of them last year. It's like they're magically not aging).
Well, it turns out that Brandon Buckley (who I went to high school with) was playing drums for Minnie Driver that night (he also plays drums for Shakira! Woo!) and two other kids I went to high school with were there to see him! Here's me with Alex _____ and Larry Grodeska! They were both two years older than me and I hadn't seen either of them since 1992!
Then on the way downstairs, I ran into Mike Fintzy who I went to high school with and hadn't seen since he graduated in '93! Say wha! Roxbury High School in the house!
On the way out of the restaurant, I ran into Jill Frendak, a fellow Roxbury Class of '94 graduate. She apparently reads this site every once in while, so Jill, if you see this, hi!
After "throwing down" a few moves for the camera, he mysteriously disappeared. For almost an hour, no one could figure out where he'd gone off to. Then Tim came in from smoking a cigarette on the back deck (which overlooks the water) and announced that he'd "found Dempsey."
After we got back to NYC and returned the rental car, I went home to take a nap (to sleep off the four straight hours of eating I'd done at the bat mitzvah). Later that night, I walked two blocks to M Bar to meet up with Bev Chase and her friend Jessica (who also went to our high school but was a few years younger and I didn't know her).
Wednesday night I went to CBGB's (also on Bowery, wooo!) to see Chrisina Alessi's band, Hey Tiger. I went to HS with Chris and ran into fellow Roxbury High School alumnus, Megan Mee and Gary Chase. (That's 2 points for me!)
