This was one of my favorites. (Vilho Lampi - Nocturne 1930)Love the light in this one.After lunch, I walked over to the Helsinki Art Museum.Lots of paintings I liked by painters I'd never seen!...we hit the Guggenheim to see some art.They also had a bunch of paintings done by Lama Gyurme, a Buddhist artist who immigrated to Sante Fe from Tibet!Walking the dead back to the cementerio after the party is over. See you next year! ...and you see a caricature of the artist! This form of graphical projection is called Anamorphosis.I also really liked this painting At first glance it looks like some kind of mosquito-like insect, but then you notice the metal cylinder...Close Close.Reflection on the glasses? Cmon!Even when you're standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF IT, it still looks like a photo and it's HUGE.Chuck Close's stuff needs to be seen in person. This?Mustache and a dress. No big deal.Not so much.This painting looked a lot like Pacung.
