Then later that night, I went out to Brooklyn with Meredith to attend some sort of prom party that Blackbook Magazine was throwing at the Brooklyn brewery that Aileen had invited us to! Here's Mer and Aileen.
I guess that's the only photo I took at Easter dinner (whoops!) because here's Meredith and I back on the platform waiting to catch a train back into town.
The next morning I invited Meredith and Niki the Roommate to take the train out to New Jersey with me to head to my Aunt and Uncle's house in Clark, NJ and spend Easter with my family! Here's the lovely ladies all dressed up (complete with flowers for Grandma!) on the taxi ride over to Penn Station.
Meredith was helping planning a party for a restaurant, and one of the companies she was working with sent her a huge bag of candy and party favors. On Tuesday night, she came to my apartment and brought a ton of treats and trinkets with her!
On Thursday night, Meredith and I stopped in our local bodega (that's "corner store" for all you non-New Yorkers) to pick something up and while browsing the aisles, we came across "Good Friends," the funniest cereal ever. Meredith first made friends with these two...
Lucy was so cute and charming that she even won over Meredith (who doesen't really like babies all that much....Shhhhh!) and Meredith pulled her in close to give her...
...and then Meredith was nice enough to be my model as I took pictures for Tara's jewelry store Leviticus Jewelry. Here she being a good sport as I got ready to shoot her in an impromptu parking garage location I scouted on the fly!
They hotel closed down the reception room at 1am and I'm happy to announce that Meredith and I were among the very last guests. Here's Meredith and Tara jumping for joy on the dance floor at the end of the night. Take one!
...and got all dressed up for Tara's wedding! Awwww, how pretty is my girl? By the way, I'd like to point out that Meredith is wearing a dress that she got for a middle school dance when she was in 8th grade...
After the ceremony, we had about an hour and change to kill before the reception started, so we went back up to our room, relaxed, had ourselves a few drinky drinks and then headed back downstairs to the reception hall...
We slept in the next day, relaxed in our hotel room, and then set out to find a place to grab lunch around 2pm! We ended up at a Thai restaurant where, like always, we ended up ordering WAY too much food.
Afterwards, we walked around a bunch before we found this neato grass-and-concrete checkerboard park to shoot it. There was even a cooperative pigeon there who kept hanging around in all the right places in the background. Here's one of my final pics from shooting in that location! (Necklace by Tara!)
When we finally arrived at the hotel, it looked like a scene rap music video. Every where you looked there were huge SUVs tinted out, slammed and riding on 24s. And there were all sorts of thugged out dudes walking around with tons of jewelry and gold fronts. Turns out the hotel was hosting two events that weekend: Tara's Wedding and some HUGE dirty-South hip-hop DJ convention! Hahaha. I can't believe I didn't take more photos. Here's Meredith showing off one of the 6 or 7 CDs she was handed in the 20 yard walk from the car to the hotel. We checked into our room, dropped off our bags...
And we're off! If I remember correctly, it was like a ninety-minute drive from the airport to the hotel where Tara and Greg's wedding was taking place.
When we landed in Houston we were STARVING so we decided to grab a quick airport slice before getting our rental car and driving into town. The pizza we got was the greasiest, heaviest pizza I've ever eaten. Check out Meredith holding her stomach. If you put your ear near your monitor, you can actually hear her softly groaning.
This picture was taken on March 4th after midnight which means that it was technically taken on MEREDITH'S BIRTHDAY!!! WOOOOO! Happy 26th Birthday, Gorgeous! I love you! She didn't really feel up to going out on a Saturday night (the Lower East Side on a Saturday night = Guido Nightmare), so we had a nice, quiet birthday celebration in her apartment.
...I think it's safe to say that Meredith and my TEAM UGLY FACE prevailed. The best thing about "UGLY FACE" is that it usually always leads to you making friends with people who overhear you laughing and are like "Yo, what the FUCK are you guys doing?" And then after you explain their like "Oh..."
Next stop on the "It's Siege's Birthday!" party train? Pumps! (For those of you not in the know, Pumps is a shady-ass biker-gang n00dy bar out in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The people at the bar aren't typically too welcoming to "outsiders," but they tolerated us because we showed up with a whole bunch of girls who were all willing to get up on stage and dance! Hahah. Here's Ellen and Katie up on THA POLE!
Here's a group shot of a whole bunch of us waiting for a car service to show up to take us to the "next location!" By the way, what's that Nina's doing to KT over there in the corner?
Than I give you one! Eventually Meredith tried to move from "kissy stamp" game to the "let's you and I go make out in the corner" game and Sarah panicked! She ran over to me on the verge of tears and said something like "Tell your girlfriend I think she's cute, but that I'M A CATHOLIC! I can't do this!" and then ran out of the bar. Hahahaha.
And last but not least, a fancy carrying case for her new laptop! (And yes, I really do have a girlfriend that gets totally stoked about getting a laptop bag for Valentine's Day! I win!). Happy Valentine's Day, gorgeous!
How lame is it that I don't even have a picture of Niki considering that a) it was her birthday party and b) she is my roommate? Meredith and Ellen maxed and relaxed on my bed...
...and then Meredith and I went out to meet up with Mr. David Kreitman for a few quiet drinks in the neighborhood. Afterwards, Mer ended up heading home and David and I...
On Saturday, Meredith went out with Christine and tried to make out with her but every time Meredith would make a move, Christine would pull frat-dude moves like this one. Hahahah. (Photo by Meredith).
