On Tuesday night, Meredith and I went crosstown... ..and up on to their building's awesome roof deck. ...to have dinner at Fatty and Marina's new apartment in the West Village. We went out onto their fire escape... Later that night Lisa and Pauly came over for family night. Plus the waitress took this nice photo of us. Sunday afternoon errands. TWO bad ones. Such a bad one! (Leigh looks like SNL's Stefon in this photo. Haha). Me and my boo. Hahaha. Exactly. Me and Mer. We rented a car and picked up Murdo on our way heading north to Salisbury, CT. On Friday after work we went up to Meredith's parents house. My parents were there too... So good. Grant was in town! We met up and walked past my old place on the Bowery... Jammie time. Not working! ...inflatable Hannah Montana balloon to make sure that Leigh felt welcomed back! Awwww. Who's happy summer's here? THIS GUY! Bad window smokers! Returning the van. Saying goodbye to the groom! Siege and Meredith coddle their food babies. At 1pm we left the pool and headed back over to Denny's! Meredith. Meredith and Amanda luxuriated outside... Around 3pm, we headed back to our rooms to get dressed. Meredith put on her amazing polka-dot party dress. <3 The drive up was quicker than we expected leaving us with some time to catch a little sun and swim before the wedding. ...rent a van and drive up to the wedding together! Roadtrip! ...and Scott and Amanda! We'd all decided to... ...Ellen, Katie, Siege... On Saturday morning, Mer and I hopped in a cab and headed crosstown to meet up with... Awesomely weird, right? I'd go with the more muted one. They had a whole bunch of those blank cows that get painted by different artists in various stages of completion. Holy pile of fried appetizer. I had off work on Monday so Meredith and I decided to hop on the subway and to the magical faraway land of... Clean plate club! ...but immediately after the flash went off, I saw her silently extend one finger to let me know that she was actually awake. Meredith missed all the neck-mirror and night-cheese fun because she snuck away to TAKE A NAP AT THE PARTY! Haha. I sneaked into where she was sleeping and thought I was being all crafty when I snapped this picture... We moved the party into the kitchen and chowed down. On Friday night a whole bunch of us went over to Siege and KT's to surprise KT with a welcome back party! Then later that night, Lisa and Pauly (and Pizza the dog!) came over for Family Night. Maddy likes to sleep behind Meredith when she's working. Haha. Leigh was in another country for work (Spain?) for a couple of weeks so later that night we had a tele-party via iChat. Miss you, roomie! Just a quiet Saturday night at home. We spent the afternoon watching DVR'ed episodes of Wife Swap . The episode where the black dude ends up living with an entire family that's into renaissance reenactment made me laugh until I cried. Meredith had a little too much karaoke juice and had to hug the wall on the elevator ride home. Haha. Mer and me. Ooops! Guess I forgot to include these with April. On the last night of April, Meredith made homemade falafel! Full and happy. Bad ones. Meredith was manning the fort, watching Dirty Jobs. <3 Con Ed in the background. We got back to Stuytown and decided to lie down in the grass and enjoy the rest of the afternoon's sunshine. Later in the afternoon, Meredith's parents came down to meet us and see Maddy running around in her wiener-element. We got to the park and there were hundreds of people with daschunds! Wiener dogs on the move. Maddy isn't able to run around too long on her puppy legs without getting exhausted. Luckily, we found out that she loves to be carried around in a bag. ...to attend Daschund Day in Washington Square Park ! So much awesome in my living room it's unbelievable. Just a basic Wednesday night hang. Meredith and I have the same exact eye-glass prescription which is awesome because either one of us can pick up and use the first pair of glasses that are around. Here she is wearing my "Larry Davids" (they polarize in the sun...noooo!), while I'm rocking her sassy "Sally Jessys"! Oh, Bret! How has it come to this? Haha. Meredith snuggled with a rat. Later that night, Gurj, Quinn, Ellen and Kaitie came over to our apartment to watch Sunday night TV and eat all sorts of terrible food. Ooof, Dominos Pizza. In NYC! The shame, the shaaaaaame. Brunch that ends at 4pm makes me so tired. When the strip dries completely, it's rock solid like a plaster cast and it makes your whole face tickle. Letting them dry real good. Have you ever tried one of these? They are equal-parts amazing and gross! Later that night back at the apartment, Leigh got all excited and busted out a box of those nose pore cleaning strips! On Tuesday evening, Meredith and I met up at Radio City Music Hall after work... Meredith was playing Zelda on DS... Back at the apartment later that night, we snuggled with dogs... On Wednesday night we met up with Dave and Marina and headed over to Meredith's parent's apartment in order to celebrate Pesach ! SHANK BONE! ...so rather than pick one up at a butcher store, Meredith made a drawing of one and then LAMINATED it. Hahaha. Edie was there too. It was a regular dog party. Later that evening, Meredith's friend Blair came over with his new puppy! Hahaha. Maddy was like "I'm a dog! What are you?" Maddy was a little nervous. Freddie, Scoots, Mer and Amanda. Stereofang. Hahaha.
