So we wandered around the hotel complex crossing all sorts of bridges that went over all the waterways trying to figure out how to get closer to the beach (without rousing the suspicion of any of the many guards patrolling the place).
As we were leaving, we all kept remarking how cool the Burj Al Arab looked at night and finally Biba was like "Let's figure out how to get down to the beach from here and get a closer look at it!"
Madinat Jumeirah is ridiculous even by Dubai's standards. It's a resort that takes up an entire kilometer of the coast and the entire thing is connected by man-made waterways. Here's the "water taxi" that showed up to take us from the lobby to the restaurant.
