It also included this OTHER handout with a photo of the guy who hand-made the DEVICE showing off how to best position the wet-sponge electrodes in order to maximize Savant Learning, the obvious choice for the acceleration of touch-typing in both of our books.

The hand-made device came along with this very sophisticated-looking diagram to show you where to place the electrodes of the device on your scalp depending on the kind of effects you are looking to stimulate in your brain.

After making sure the sponges, and all of his affairs, were in order it was time to...

After we had finished soaking the sponges attached to the electrodes with salt-water, we secured them to their proper spot on Grant's skull with a headband. Because hey, if you're going to get your brain fried, you may as well go out looking fabulous when it happens! But seriously...

A few tries later...

Innerpartysystem went on a little after midnight.

Eric and I totally set Grant up on this one: I waited with the camera ready and Eric pretending that he had to tell Grant something and then when Grant leaned in: BLAMO! (or at least that's the story that I'm supposed to tell if you know what I'm saying).

Grant posing for the "Author Photo" that adorns his I Did It For Science column.
Added bonus (of embarrassment)! Here's a 30-second video-clip of Grant getting picked up and fucking body-slammed!! I kid you not. After dropping him like a two-foot putt, Maxine twists him like a pretzel until she finally gets him in a scissor-hold leg lock which cause Grant to do a submission tap-out right at the end of the clip (that's right, listen carefully and you can actually hear him wheezing and banging his little hand against the mat).

Best. Photo Ever!

Maxine mugs for the cam while Grant us (his unsuportive, cackling compadres) the fingah.

Look at how red his face is! Hahaha!

After dominating the first few rounds, Grant conceded that Maxine both better training and, um, more reluctantly, bigger muscles. He asked if she had any pointers to improve his technique. Maxine explained that Grant flailed his limbs too much and that if he stayed compact and curled up, like a shrimp, she'd have a harder time bending him into pretzelly, little shapes. Right before this pic was snapped, we heard Grant yell from underneath Maxine "Be...like...*grunt*...*gasp*...SHRIMP!"

Yeah, nothing quite flatters a man's ass like a unitard. Deeee-liscious!

Check out the Maxine (trained in Gracie-style Brazillian Jujitsu) looking up both of Grant's legs.

...and here's Grant about .25 seconds later on the mat!

This is my favorite picture. I think that expression he's wearing is what you'd call "genuine panic." (Which you'd be wearing too if a giant, well-trainer wrestler was putting you in a "small package.")
i did it for science
He was talking about how tough and strong he was and mid-sentence Maxine just started in on him...

Because Em & Lo were too preoccupied to take photos of us dancing, I lifted these next few photos off of Cake's website (they were all taken by Jenny Schulder). Grant ran out on stage, screamed "My name is Daniel-san!" in the mic, did a jump kick, opened up his karate jacket and then proceeded to rip off the tee-shirt he was wearing underneath! So tough!

Look, my clothes aren't even off yet and all the ladies've got their money ready! Aw yeah, boyee. (Too bad they all put their money away once I started getting naked...).

Our Nerve co-workers Em & Lo were right in the front row and were supposed to immortalize our maiden strip performance on film for my photo album, but according to Lo, "We got so excited when you two came out that we were so busy yelling and screaming with our arms up in the air that we forgot to take photos."

At one point in the night, Grant and I gave dirty lap dances to Em & Lo up on stage in front of everyone. (Check out Emma trying to escape my grasp! Hahahaha).

Growing more beligerent with each drink she downed, she eventually called us "manwhores" and stormed away because we apparently weren't giving her the attention that she deserved. (And in all fairness to her, considering she bought three rounds of drinks for both Grant and I at $10 a drink, she probably had a right to be unhappy...we're definitely not worth $60!)

Here's a photo of Grant starting to strip down for a cute girl from NJ who was the first person to buy lap dances from us. Throughout the night, she kept buying more dances and even started buying us rounds of drinks!

...and here's the view of us peeking out on to the mayhem that was on the stage!

If you look to the right and you'll see Grant and myself waiting our turn to put on our big strip show (Can you see how nervous we are?).

We returned to the safety of the Nerve offices the next day only to receive a standing ovation upon our entrance. We had returned from the land of crazed girls with our egos intact and a fistful of cash taboot. Thanks Cake!

...our inner pimps were released. Here we see "Blonde Business Guy" and "70's Karate Man" in full effect and ready to dampen some female seats.
