In waves were crashing so violently and the undertow was so strong that everyone swimming ended up clearing out. I think this is about as far in to the water as any of us went. Oh, summer. Every summer comes to an end. September sneaks up on you and you need to fight fall off a little bit longer with as many more trips to the beach as you can get in before the weather turns! At the beach we met up with Amanda and Scott! ...but ended after 20 minutes of drizzling with no sign of blue skies in sight, we decided to call it a day... On Saturday, a whole bunch of us went back out to Far Rockaway for a beach day... ...but it started raining after we'd only been there for 30 minutes! We tried waiting it out on the boardwalk... Elevated subway. Just me? Anyone else recognize this road from driving on it in Grand Theft Auto 4? Heading back to the subway. Usually we go to the western, more deserted part of Rockaway Beach, but this time we went to the main beach so that Pauly could surf. The lovely boardwalk. Handsome beach kids. The next morning, Nina and I got up super-early and took the A train out to Far Rockaway. It was completely and totally deserted and it was AWESOME. Crazy that this is beach is a 45-minute, $2-dollar subway ride away from Manhattan, right?
