griswold's house in nj! december 23, 2001

Rachael and I were despondent: it was December 23rd and yet it still didn't fell like Christmas. So we decided that we were going to try to do some Christmassey type things to get in that "Holiday Mood." We considered driving down to see the Christmas Lights that they put up every year at the Garden State Art Center...but the fact that we'd have to drive 45 minutes plus the fact that we'd have to pay $20 (and the fact that we're both lazy bastards) made us reconsider. Instead, we ended up driving over two towns to Rockaway, NJ to seek out the house of these crazy people that go completely overboard decorating their house ever year.

You can get the general idea from these pics, but they really didn't truly capture the wonderous beauty.

Ray & me.

Aw yeah, boyee: Electric Nativity! If you look closely you'll see Elbeejay (Little Baby Jesus!) in the center of the glowing ring of holy wisemen!

The backyard was insane. The blue lights on the right were this moving, flowing water fall that was like four storeys tall.

Side of the house was a big ass Christmas tree.

Here's a pic (taken with a flash) of Ray in front of it for perspective.

Waiting to see Santa...

Love those wisemen!

Me falling while walking and trying to take a picture = Christmas Art!
