As construction on the Indoorvillage (aka - our apartment) neared completion,
two of my roommates Andy & Andrew decided that our apartment's first
party should have a high-school Prom theme (probably because neither
of them went to theirs...). Anyway, Andy & Andrew quickly made a
list of everything that would need to be finished building in the apartment
before the party could happen. Amy and I looked at the long list of
work that needed to be done and suggested that we should have the Prom
in late August because after nine straight months of construction, we
wanted a bit of a break.
But Andy & Andrew wouldn't hear of it! The Prom couldn't happed
in August! Why? Because Proms happen in June, duh! They pretty
much took it upon themselves to transform our loft into a Prom-like
dream world complete with photo backdrop that all guest could get their
pictures taken in front of. Dzija even designed a crazy-ass (an amazing)
website
dedicated to the event.
While they were setting up, I was getting heatstroke with my co-workers
at the Mermaid Parade.
