an indoorvillage xmas december 2000

Indoorvillage wishes you a Happy Holiday!

When we moved into the IndoorVillage, we all planned on going to the local photography studio at Sears and getting a giant "family photo" taken of the four of us so we could frame it and hang it over the fireplace that we don't have. Like most things that we plan as a house...that didn't happen. So instead, we decided to take a group "Holiday Cheer" picture that we could get turned into a photo greeting card to send out to all of our friends and loved ones. We all bought matching, white cable-knit, holiday sweaters on the street for $5 bucks a pop, slicked back our hair and gathered around our fancy tree.

This photo is the one we went with for the Photo Greeting Card. The rule was that when you smiled, both your top and bottom rows of teeth had to be visible. Otherwise it wasn't a true "Holiday Cheer" smile.

Here are some alternate poses that didn't make the cut. Group Shot with the Fish.

Sharing the Magic of Unwrapping a Present Together

The Construction-Themed Holiday Shot. (At this point, we'd been renovating our loft space for the last 6 months and one of these seemed appropos.) Dzija with googles and expanding foam insullation, Amy with extension cord, Barlow with dry-wall gun and helmet, me with cordless impact nail gun.

Barlow hears the ocean, Dzija & Amy hold the fish as I play 'Jingle Bells' on a conch shell for visiting neighbor-dog Benson.

I love presents!
